BATLEY BULLDOGS have retained centre Felix Ellis, in whom coach James Ford sees a bright future.
Coach James Ford is working to build on taking his side to the play-offs in his first season at the helm (they finished tenth).
Ellis was recruited from local community club Dewsbury Moor ahead of this season after impressing on trial, and featured 13 times, scoring two tries.
“With his tireless tackle rate and powerful carries, he has quickly become a key part of the squad and a firm fans’ favourite,” said the club.
Ford added: “We have all enjoyed working with Felix. He impressed us with his ambition, drive and competitiveness.
“He is a very quick and elusive centre who we believe is at the start of an exciting journey.
“Felix has a high level of potential, and if he maintains his approach to being the best he can be, we are sure he can mature into a very good player.”
