Bradford Bulls forward makes loan move to Dewsbury Rams

DEWSBURY RAMS have brought in Bradford Bulls backrow Jacob Bateman on a season-long loan.

Bateman, the 19-year-old cousin of England’s John Bateman, has played once for Bradford, in 2024, and spent time with both Newcastle Thunder and Batley this year.

“Jacob can play backrow or middle and is a tough competitor,” said Dewsbury coach Paul March.

“We have a good partnership with Bradford, and as a club, we pride ourselves on giving players opportunities to reach their potential, so this deal will allow him to do that.”

Dewsbury have also agreed a contract extension for 2026 with prop Toby Everett.

He is in his second spell at the club and has made 46 appearances for them in total.
