CASTLEFORD TIGERS will avoid the repeat of their travel mistakes suffered earlier in the year when they travelled to Toulouse Olympique when they head for Perpignan this weekend.
The Tigers went down 24-10 to Toulouse early on in the 2026 Super League campaign, but they faced a 13-hour journey to get there and then a 12-and-a-half-hour trip home.
There will be no repeat of that this weekend when the Tigers travel to Catalans Dragons, with head coach Ryan Carr detailing what the club is doing differently this time around.
“We’re going straight from Leeds to Perpignan on Thursday which allows us to have our best preparation to play well,” Carr said.
“Our original was to go via somewhere and then have a two-hour bus ride but we’ve avoided that.
“We are grateful to the club for that, we’ve got to ensure we maximise our preparation to play well.”
In terms of team changes, Brock Greacen will be out after failing his HIA in the 24-14 loss to Leigh Leopards last weekend, but George Hirst could return from his ban.
“Brock will be out but George Hirst could come back in.
“Gerge had a head knock and got suspended for two games so he is excited to come back in to the frame
“Jack Brown could make his debut.”
