Five Super League stars charged by RFL

The RFL’s Match Review Panel has charged five Super League players with offences committed in round six of the competition.

Justin Poore of Hull Kingston Rovers has been charged with the Grade C offence of making a dangerous throw on Bradford Bulls player Matty Blythe in the 65th minute of their match on Sunday.

Hull FC captain Gareth Ellis has been charged with the Grade C offence of making a dangerous shoulder charge on Kevin Brown of Widnes Vikings in the 18th minute of their match on the same day.

In the same fixture, Willie Isa of Widnes has been charged with the Grade B offence of recklessly striking Hull FC player Aaron Heremaia in the 52nd minute.

Finally, St Helens players Jon Wilkin and Kyle Amor have been charged with the Grade B offence of making a reckless high tackles on Chris Riley and Matt Ryan of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

Pleas
Amor, Ellis and Isa have until 11.00am on Tuesday to submit Early Guilty Pleas. Poore and Wilkin do not have the option of submitting EGPs and will appear before an RFL Disciplinary Tribunal on the evening of Tuesday March 25.

Chris Bridge (Warrington Wolves) – striking John Bateman of Wigan Warriors in the 39th minute; Scott Moore (London Broncos) – striking Ryan Hall of Leeds in the 66th minute; Ukuma Ta’ai (Huddersfield) – making dangerous contact with Lopini Paea of Catalan Dragons in the 34th minute; Ben Kavanagh (Widnes Vikings) – dangerous throw on Richard Whiting of Hull FC in the 32nd minute; Danny Galea (Widnes Vikings – dangerous throw on Richard Whiting of Hull FC in the 32nd minute; Willie Isa (Widnes Vikings) – dangerous throw on Richard Whiting of Hull FC in the 32nd minute.
