Well I can honestly say I’ve done my good Christmas deed for today. Whilst at the check out at Morrison's I was behind a little old lady in the queue. Her shopping bill came to £57.81 but when she counted out all her change she only had just under £50. I thought she was probably someone’s granny and I’d like to think someone would have helped my gran out when she was alive. She didn’t want me to help her but I insisted, and in no time we had all her shopping back on the shelves!

You have zero credibility because everyone knows your axe to grind with the club. You’re totally conflicted. And by carrying on about evidence as if you care what it proves or not just makes you look even more pathetic. We all know why you hate Toronto and it has nothing to do with what they bring to the sport. If you can’t be honest about your motives you’re a pretty weak character. So while you’re telling completely objective fans with no conflict of interest to “grow up” how about you have a good hard look at yourself. Unless you can’t handle what you’ll see. PS: the stats not only prove a hell of a lot to contradict what haters like you spout about TWP but reasonable, unconflicted fans recognise it. See above at others’ responses.

He is proffering a valid model... that’s works at s club that can vacuum up all the best talent as it emerges through the age groups .... Leeds do this but are not transitioning the young talent into the adult world of RL the NRL does this superbly and they operate with a reserve grade structure, that is competition, club and culture congruent... kids get their first taste of playing against adults in reserve grade ... and it’s invaluable!

Saracens compare themselves to a pack of wolves who individually and collectively hunt for each other, also posing in photos with a wolf. Their defensive statistics are collated and compiled by the defence coach under the heading “Wolf Board”. The “Wolf Rating” is taken very seriously and to be nominated is an accolade. Also, Saracen’s current membership is called WolfPack Member - https://www.saracens.com/products/membership/wolfpack

Yes, it is bloody awful. A pal of mine hanged himself in 2013 and I had spoken with him a few weeks before. I couldn't help thinking, "If only I'd known, if only I'd spent a few more minutes chatting with him." Daft, of course. It's a sad time though, and no one knows what is going on his mind. Hopefully, things will improve.

The Wolfpack must be the football team then, although more recently they've combined with Hollyoaks and Coronation Street for charitable purposes.

Martin Offiah played for them did he not?

Well, he certainly wasn't a saint. You don't get to be head of the CIA without a certain lack of scruples. But I'd have him as president in heartbeat, ahead of that fellow Republican who is currently resident in the White House.
  20. 1 point
My concern at this point isn't what they've been doing, Martin, it's what should they be doing? If we can't find solutions, we're part of the problem rather than part of the solution.

When I played subuteo that kind of behaviour was more recreating football hooliganism, that's why I always had a naked lego men run onto the pitch ######. Of course, if I were playing the rugby subuteo then I spent most of my time recreating the atmosphere of the threepennies, so I had a little plastic replica of Eddie waring and had him walk past the stand while I launched any random projectile I had to hand at him and shouted abuse! Good Times.......

At the end of the day no champ 1 clubs are flush with cash and all rely on handouts in one form or another is asking the fans for help any worse or better than asking 1 man, personally as a fan i would always try to help my club out no questions , i believe most true fans would. All boards have made mistakes or overspent when they shouldnt have, to try to better the club, Town did it to try and stay in Super League and then spent years trying to get out of it, Barrow and Haven tried to do it to gain promotion and stave of relegation sometimes it works and when it doesnt, its quite well documented hence Haven 2010. And if rumours are to be believed all 3 Cumbrian clubs in the last 10 years have been hours away from existing on numerous occasions Haven and Town at least twice and Barrow a few more than that.

How is Tom L? I have been hearing that his injury might not properly clear up, which I hope is untrue. A really good lad as well as a good team player.

The Toulouse squad looks weak, they have signed some good prospects like Bertrand and Chatras but they are very young and there are also some absolute plodders in there as squad fillers who would barely be Elite 2 standard. I think the #10 was 25yo English amateur player Jack Wilshere, one of a number of inexplicable signings who I guess (or hope) is there because he is playing for free. Props to them for fielding a player called "Le ####" though, hope he makes it.

I hope Fury does him to , and I’ve no doubt Big Josh would smash Wilder . How anyone swallows the utter tripe about avoiding Wilder is beyond me . There’s only one side been doing the avoiding . They wanted no part of Josh and think this is a cushy number for a big pay day

Toronto Wolfpack has almost the exact same letters in as Workington Town, pretty much. So they borrowed everything from us, and I will therefore now live vicariously through their victories.

Hi BP Are you giving a toast to Has Beans? ???

Not sure what you mean by that? This is a forum for the debate of issues surrounding our sport. Toronto are a marmite type issue and I freely admit to being cautious as to what they bring to the table in terms of growth of the sport..... Either commercially or as a new development stream. At no stage have I said get them out and I have repeated that I don't see them doing any harm, but because my views don't sit with yours or others you are now calling for the site owner to intervene? The Internet (as brexit and trump have shown) is a dangerous tool when in the wrong hands, but disagreement and discussion are what forums are about. And still.... Without the additional 4 or 5 North American teams, what is it that Toronto bring to the table? 2700 extra fans at 10 games or 4700 at 11 if you count the season opener...... No Revenue streams or global sponsor..... No player pathway or youth development set up....... Just 30 players who aren't Canadian playing out of Manchester?

Some Pretty warped logic on show on this forum..... 1. Toronto are good for the game because they know how to market the game and attract fans to games both home and away. 2. Rugby union crowd averages don't count because they include event games where saracens play at Wembley or Bath take a game to Twickenham and those 70,000 aren't real fans. ....... Hmmm.

Your right, they didn't consult them, and that was wrong but Tonga were under no obligation to play the game the NRL arranged for them, though it was in their best interest to do so. Tonga would not have been able to arrange any games due to the cost. There is a reason they can barely pay their players let alone the costs of booking out a major stadium.
