It probably is you know. There’s been too many instances of grubby behaviour from Fev “fans”, players and even those in charge in recent years for it to be acceptable. Every club has their fair share of idiots but not every club has had so many episodes of such idiotic behaviour, all those Covid breaches swept under the carpet, scrapping against Widnes fans outside the ground, that awful going on with the Halifax fan, criminal damage in the car park, GBH, racial abuse at games, multiple fines from the RFL, homophobic insults against referees on this very forum. And that’s just off the top of my head. Your club needs to do more and stop with the victim mentality and “everyone hates us but we don’t care” attitude. All that does is fuel the idiots in my opinion.

He's only 31. If he's not up to it he won't get a look in. Started his career here and if he plays how he can I'd be delighted to have him back, I imagine he's a great character to have around a club as well. If we're getting lads who started their rugby at York back, I'd like to see Alex Foster sign. I'd say Greg Minikin as well but he's Fordy's love child so chances are he'll end up at Fev. Get Gareth Ellis along to run the Excel stuff while we're at it.

York have had about 7 key players out for most games this season, still managed to win 9 out of the last 10. Shouldn't use injuries or referees as an excuse but you wouldn't have beaten us at Mount Pleasant if we'd had a half-back on the pitch. Maybe that visit to Wembley to get beaten by Halifax in the Mickey Mouse Cup wasn't worth it in the end as it seems to have totally ruined your season.

York are more than good enough now, form over the last 10 games and we're equal top. Imagine if we scrape into the play-offs, anything could happen.

Ref had a great game, some things go your way, some don't. I want to see the game flow which he let happen last night, and that's why York won as we had more flair than Batley. You tried to grind us down, it didn't work for the full 80 and we had too much out wide for you to deal with. You were the better team for the first half hour and the first 10 after half time but didn't capitalise on it, it's not down to the ref that, that's down to you not being good enough on the night.
