I kind of agree with that, in my eyes I thought it would have been better to take Johnson off in the 2nd half as he wasn't doing anything noticeable and leave Bishop on as half back with Josh Wood returning to his hooker role, apart from moaning and groaning Johnson was pretty ineffective and his defence needs a lot of work, ( that's a polite way of saying he can't tackle).

THIS WEEK’S REFEREE: BARROW RAIDERS v FEV (Championship Round 12)

I'm sure he will turn out to be a very fair referee with not too many penalties, probably the best ref we have seen in Barrow this season. -
All of them would be a good place to start.
-
Yep, that's one, the other being Rothwell.

I hear we are due to have a couple of loan forwards coming in, one from Leigh on a season long loan and another we have had here before, have some faith in the club.

Earlier this year I had a PSA test down at Craven Park, thankfully negative, the Raiders were working with a local Prostate Cancer Group to hold this, the 2nd event, because there isn't a screening programme. One of the organisers told me all men over 50 can ask their GP but some doctors are "reluctant", although I've already had a test I will be heading to the GP later this year to get another and would ask all of you men to go and get tested.

It always reminded me of a mishap when I was a much, much younger bloke and accidently got wintergreen on my nuts, it must have looked odd as i hung them in the sink splashing cold water all over them, thank god there weren't any mobile phones back in the 70's.

He won't be before the Panel until next week which means he will be unavailable for the last game, if Haven are really lucky he might get Covid just before his ban which means under these new rules they can bring in a loan player.

MOM was Broady who tackled like a demon in the 2nd half, personally I'd have chosen Cressy who was outstanding all afternoon.
-
I think I remember the lad you mention I'd never seen him at Craven Park before nor since, we can only guess his motivation for coming that day but hope he never shows up again.

What you should have said is "I am not a number I am a free man", perhaps you are just a bit too young to remember The Prisoner but i'm pretty sure it will be on one of the numerous crappy Sky channels. I also don't hate any other club/team but despite that I am without doubt a long standing Barrow fan and all being well will be for many more years, mind you having said that I have never forgotten losing the Challenge Cup to Featherstone when just a young boy, that does still smart.

"Last thing WE needed". And there's me thinking you actually were a NEUTRAL fan, should it not read "last thing THEY needed", or is it more the case you are an out and out Haven Fan, there is nothing wrong with that and nothing to be ashamed of, be proud to be a fan and lose the Neutral bit, just call yourself 7 we'll know it's you.

I've been wating for over a year for Sammut to pull off some of his "magic" to save a game, today I take back all I said about him he earned his pay.

If they play like they did yesterday then keep burning the pies.
-
Or is this just Whitehaven mind games again,
-
I think the other 15 lads might have something to say about that.
-
Exactly, and not everyone works in the Shipyard.
-
Silva was being looked at by the Physio before the warm up, he looked uncomfortable and it was pretty clear there was something not quite right and so I suspect it wasn't worth the risk.
-
It was the very same man, it appears he seems to know where all the best pie shops are wherever he plays.
-
I love it when you're not right.

In a way I think you are correct but, a number of Championship coaches have gone down the road of the more mobile forward with mixed success, take a look at the Town site from a couple of years ago and it was clear it didn't work. The really big forwards do tire quickly but at the same time make a real impact taking 3 or 4 defenders with them, if we had a couple of lads as big and athletic as Joe Bullock then that would be the perfect compromise but remind yourselves of some of the monsters we were up against last season and the damage they did to our defence. I think what I'm trying to say is I don't have a clue which is the best option, were we to sign a couple of massive Tongans I wouldn't be disappointed, thank god I'm not the coach.

It's not surprising his expenses were so high.
