  1. I got 12 points for Bradford and 17 for Toulouse 14 for wakey and 8 for Cas , 9 for Salford Could be a right old shake up if they are all scored fairly
  2. I think its that France cancelled after stepping in when USA cancelled. Thats after Australia wimped out of the last one for a year. Qatar have allegedly offered and I would bite their hand off. If its true it would be a cash Injection and give RFL / international fed a bit of breathing space.
  3. I disagree , the bar is set quite low so there should in theory be at least 12 cat A clubs. We poss have 8 already
  4. You could actually calculate this if you could be bothered, and also as long as they were cat b then yes they would as long as there wasn't another champ team with a higher score
  5. Well there is if they instantly obtain half the catchment area pointwise!
  6. Interesting about catchment area, its not like you can do anything about this one and if a new club springs up on your doorstep the catchment area is halved. Would Wigan and leigh be clubbed together and halved, if so thats tough on Wigan. Would wakey be divided by 3 ?? Presume Newcastle would score full marks as would London even though their real catchment area is relative to how many are actually interested in Rugby.
  7. Leeds were given a low score for their academy a few years ago and I commented on here they had a job for the boys mentality dragging their academy down, think it was an old player who was in charge at the time and he didn't even have a coaching badge (from memory so I could have remembered wrongly) I was laughed at , but now it would appear that the issue certainly isn't that kids are not playing, junior rugby is actually thriving. It appears to be an issue at academy level in Yorkshire. How Hull does not have a conveyor belt of talent coming through is beyond me ! Bradford was certainly a very good academy and RL allowed Bradford to fail. Infact under licencing the lack of relegation actually encouraged player development so maybe this will improve under IMG rules
  8. So 1 game at 12k is 5k above average, averaging that out across 13 games is an extra 350 ish onto the average however that is presuming the remaining games are all around the 7k mark
  9. Guess as a wakey fan a good view of then fans maybe more of a priority than a good view of the pitch ?!
  10. Yeah very strange , they also hosted a football World Cup and are hosting another union one and the Olympics but one league tournament and its gone belly up .... Would not trust them to host something they don't have a vested interest in...
  11. Heard rumours of a group stage in the challenge cup and this sort of confirms it. Would make sense to have qualifiers from lower divisions then 4 groups of 4 which would add 6 games and could have group winners to semis but most probably top 2 for quarters. Presume these games would be sold separately to BBC and another broadcaster.
  12. You wouldn't need the kaiser chiefs for that one, joking aside paris messed up the champions league final so would not be suggesting there anytime soon
  13. As if there isn't gantries pre built into the stadium haha Main cameras will be in the main stand as is always the case
  14. Didnt they not go through with the proposals though, not saying its a good idea, just pointing out it never happened so did really end up like anything
  15. Keep the top 6 in SL, merge the bottom half and call them Yorkshire stragglers, it maybe the counties only way of keeping up with the rest of RL..
  16. I think they will be bringing back P&R after 3 years of a closed shop after a traditionalists revolt. The national team will once again be playing an exile team as the French are not worthy opponents and magic venue will be moving back to Newcastle after a failed trip to Everton and Manchester. Bradford will be back in SL but in financial trouble and Salford will be in talks to buy the stadium from the council. Wakey will still be in SL by some technicality and St Helens will be going for 10 in a row upsetting Warrington as it was supposed to be their year. England will have to take over hosting the world cup as some random country discovers that if they build it they won't come. The challenge cup will be moving back to the august bank holiday week end after moving it to may didn't boost attendances and magic needs to move to the end of the soccer season.
  17. I can name how many league titles Warrington have won in the last 50. ...
  18. Interesting when Saints beat both the last time they met
  19. Agreed, spread out from st helens instead of trying to make big jumps. They should try to engage with the schools and look to start junior clubs. Training at edge hill is at least a start in the eight direction
  20. Careful, your squad might get picked apart like Salfords did the year they got to the GF and with no youth system could get caught out. Unfortunalty the same could happen to saints following the World Cup win
  21. Good luck to swifty, thought he was better than Grace when he left and is still in the game unlike his replacement. Would also sooner have him over Tee
