A few misguided comments on here. The current club don't owe the council money so they can't come after them. The money is in the CVA. Blame Marwen for that. The Academy was scrapped after the RFL didn't award funding or a place in the elite. Again Marwen decided to save money and this was his best answer. The move will probably increase the funding available if as suggested the concessions money goes to the club. The ground at Moor Lane may be expanded if crowds pick up The current management seem to be going the right way as evidenced by the pathways and the work in local schools. It is a long hard path

Salford reverted to their original name of Red Devils. I seem to recall the story was that SL didn't like the Devil icon or imagery.

This is at least a year away, Salford have demonstrated that anything can happen in a year. This is just another stick to beat the club with. Some people won't be satisfied until Salford disappear.

When Salford sold The Willows, Red City Developments was building the stadium. This would have provided an income. The Willows needed huge amounts spending to keep the safety certificate. Brian Kennedy the then owner of Sale was offered a share of the new stadium but refused. Later Sale had to move after doing the dirty to Stockport County. History repeats with this latest move. It should be interesting to see which sport/team come on on top. Moor Lane is an awful place for a stadium, the crowds won't improve. The low crowds have little to do with the move, the constant drama is the issue.

Manchester waking up. It was on Talking Pictures and is a documentary from the early 60s' It shows the docks as a working port rather than Salford Quays. Health and Safety ? none of it.

Persoanlly Moor lane is the worst of the 3 grounds to get to and park. (Weaste and Willows are the area and ground name and are the same thing) Salford aren't a well supported club, even in the glory days. Think more will drift off from the crowds if Moor lane becomes a reality.

I have a new favourite film to complain about. This is a film both husband and I had to stop watching it is so bad. Its worse than Battle filed Earth. If you see this film advertised walk on by. Never watch Cosmic Sin. It's a sin it was made, Bruce Willis must have owed money to appear in this. Turned it off and watched Things Heard and seen. Great ghost story really enjoyed it.

Think it was divided into 6 parts. I don't think you would lose much watching in parts. I felt it was self indulgent but husband enjoyed it. I think Marvel have a more polished product and many of the characters looked like Marvel ones. Oh and just no to Jeremy Irons as Alfred.

Don't worry it gets even worse, I did finally give up as it got so stupid.

Saw a kingfisher on the brook behind my house this week. Yes i live in Salford but have such a variety of wildlife nearby. The cold hs also brought jays into the garden

I seem to recall there was more to the sale than hardship. He sold them because he had more than 1 child and he didn't want them arguing over the medals. I am sure 200,000 went a long way however.

My bird feeders have gone quiet in the last week. It might be because of the Sparrowhawk picking up a sparrow lunch the other day. We have Bluetits nesting for many years, the robins have a box but they just seem to like the ivy.
