  1. I have thought for a while that McIlorum would be in the squad. Full Back Halves and Hooker are possibly the main key positions in the game today and in those positions he has gone for players he coached at Wigan.
  2. There’s a reason Watkins no longer plays at centre at club level, yet it seems like he will do at a World Cup . Even with all the backs that won’t be there is it isn’t quite as weak as could have been in the past. The worry for me is Wanes rigid style of play as I don’t think it will be enough to beat the really top teams.
  3. I have a feeling that Sneyds long kicking will be seen as being even more important in the bigger games.
  4. On Twitter Rod Studd seems have become increasingly hysterical about it.
  5. The old “it isn’t proper sport if there’s no promotion and relegation.” Apart from all the sports leagues that don’t have it that is.
  6. Dolphins, Saints, Falcons, Ravens, Cowboys, Lions, Chargers, Titans, Giants, Eagles, Steelers, Panthers, Broncos, Packers, Chiefs, Rams
  7. It could be to make room for another competition to sell to TV. As Super League is going to remain at 12 for now there could be a Super League Cup with three groups of four playing home and away, with the group winners and best runners up in the semi finals. Home group games counting on season tickets so there is still around the same number of home games as now. After the final there could then be a two or three week gap before Super League starts.
  8. I think it will depend on what the fan survey says and it will probably be voted down by the majority of clubs.
  9. Where will the money come from to fund 20 teams? A 14 team top flight seems more likely.
  10. I remember Social Media being flooded with complaints over Camila Cabello and UEFA trying to Americanise football and turning the Champions League Final into the Super Bowl. The general opinion was that it wasn’t wanted or needed because it should only have been about the football and nothing else.
  11. The RFLS idea of good artists that were famous in the 80s would be 5 Star and Kajagoogoo
  12. With it being the 25th Grand Final you would have thought a big deal would have been made of it pre game, and with IMG on board now the RFL/ Super League should have been showing them what they can do.
  13. Leeds hung in in the first half but even after Hurrells try at the start of the second half I thought that killed the game as Saints were never going to give that lead up and Leeds just didn't offer enough in attack. Whoever takes over from Woolf just has to keep doing what they have been doing and doesn't have to change anything and I can't see anyone stopping them next year either.
  14. I thought that getting 60k with everything that's going on and with lots no doubt choosing to buy World Cup tickets was a decent attendance. The more alarming thing for me was that any media build up during the week was non existent.
  15. Steelers, Chiefs, Ravens, Saints, Bears, Bills, Vikings, Bengals, Raiders, Eagles, Chargers, Rams, Seahawks, Buccaneers, 49ers, Giants
  16. Cunk On Earth is one of the funniest things I’ve seen this year.
  17. That it has only ever been done twice, and by the same team, shows that it isn't that easy to win from as low as 5th. In Australia a team would be praised for being able to turn their season around in the second half of the season when the chips are down and then come out on top in big playoff games away from home to get to the Grand Final, here all they will get is "They devalued the league!". IMO the Grand Final is one of the best things Super League has done. One thing many of the great moments in sport have in common is that they happen when you have to perform on the day when everything is on the line, that Rob Burrow try for example wouldn't be as famous if it was in a regular season game. To be champions you should be able to to show both consistency and that you can also win when the season depends on it. People will say that there is the Challenge Cup for winning when it counts but the season isn't on the line in the Challenge Cup in the way that it is in the playoffs.
  18. Chiefs, Ravens, Browns, Colts, Saints, Giants, Steelers, Commanders, Rams, 49ers, Bengals, Broncos, Raiders, Packers, Bills, Vikings
  19. Doesn’t matter if it’s 1 up 1 down, 2 up 2 down, bringing back super 8s, bringing back licensing, increasing or decreasing the size of the leagues. The clubs should be told what has been agreed and it’s happening whether they like it or not.
  20. They shouldn’t get a vote. They should be told what is happening and that is that. Clubs have far too much of a say IMO and they will all vote according to self interest and I would guess that there will be more clubs who would decide that what is decided on will be against their interests.
  21. During the afternoon on the BBC when they reporting that the Queen was under medical supervision everyone was in black even then, so they must have known how serious it was even then though they had to wait for the official statement.
  22. Super League clubs will always send their best young prospects out on loan to the Championship as it is a higher standard than reserve rugby will be able to offer. Reserve rugby is a useful bridge between academy and first team rugby but when young players need to make the step up to first team rugby the Championship will offer the first team experience that they will need.
  23. Bills,49ers, Panthers, Commanders, Saints,Ravens, Colts, Eagles, Bengals, Dolphins, Chiefs, Raiders, Packers, Titans, Buccaneers, Broncos
  24. Which means promoted clubs will then up with one of the weaker teams in the league which leads to the problem of RL being IMO a less forgiving game then football in that aspect. In football teams playing against superior ones can set up to play for draw or to be able to hit on the break where in RL weaker teams are more exposed.
