  1. If you know who I support then you'll understand that I really, really, really, really want Cas to be relegated.
  2. With DAZN given rights to all six for the rest of the world.
  3. Never really got this whole avoiding a company because of one's opinion on who owns it, especially if you've never met that person and have no 1st hand knowledge of them. Not something I've ever lost sleep about. Anyhow, Murdoch hasn't owned Sky for nearly 10 years. Having looked into Len Blavatnik, can't see why you'd struggle.
  4. I've had a go at scoring Fev. Back of a fag packet stuff, but making some conservative assumptions about stuff not in the public domain, I get us to between 10 and 12. Comfortably a grade B.
  5. Having never really heard of DAZN before, had a little look at them. They're really quite big, 20m global subscribers and growing. Could be a game changer if we can get on there a couple of times a week. We could also give them the rights to all TV games outside the UK/ROI for free as a sweetener.
  6. Those LED boards make the sport look serious and modern on TV, presumably they're a big source of revenue too which is why they have a relatively high score.
  7. During your last season in the promised land, how did crowds fair when you were getting tonked every week? The big risk with your plan is a collapse in revenue and stadium usage. No one will want to watch on TV either. All bad under the grading. If (and it's a massive if) we get there this time we've got to try and be competitive. I doubt many will go to see us get spanked week in, week out.
  8. I still quite like it. The incumbency bonus is not insurmountable. Definitely a big leg up if you can get promoted this year though.
  9. I'd avoid mid-afternoon on Sundays. You'll have probably 15-20,000 people that like rugby league missing from your potential TV audience.
  10. 3/10 trolling score. Put some effort in lad.
  11. Oh, I'd never ditch Sky while they showed RL. I mean if they didn't have RL. I also watch cricket but rarely have the time to indulge so it would be a waste of money for me. I'd like to see one game from each round on C4 in a regular Saturday afternoon time slot. If we can get every game covered by a mixture of C4/Sky/DAZN then that's perfect. Also let DAZN have worldwide rights for all games. Ideal schedule would be: Thursday Night - Friday Night - Saturday lunch - Saturday night - Sunday Morning (so that champ games are not clashing with SL on TV) and Monday night. Move the weekly Champ TV game to Tue or Wed
  12. Yes. Do we win a prize for diversity and inclusion?
  13. I'd ditch Sky Sports, but I doubt I'd ever leave Sky completely.
  14. Don't think we've anything to fear. Looking through the scoring system, I think we score at least as well, maybe better than our neighbours. My only worry is the TV viewership metric. That's heavily skewed towards SL clubs, especially the ones that get picked for Channel 4.
  15. Add in the 0.1 bonus for winning the championship and there's nowt in it. Win both the GF and 1895 and you score more. Seems reasonable. In fact the whole document seems reasonable. My only concern is the TV viewing metrics, that's heavily skewed towards SL clubs. And from a Fev point of view, I think we score at around the same as our neighbours overall.
  16. Back in 97 we had serious companies sponsoring RL. Compaq, Virgin, Powergen, British Gas, Halifax etc. Now we've got Leigh Market, Mushy Peas and Home Bargains. Quite the fall from grace.
  17. Last time I listened to R1 was when Chris Evans was on it. He mentioned it a fair bit, I believe he's a Wire fan. I'm far too old for it, so wouldn't have a clue now.
  18. Got to be less than now. Sky Digital had only just launched and the majority of folk still watched 5 channel telly through an aerial.
  19. I think we stayed hidden behind a paywall for far too long. We should have used the early success to get ourselves on terrestrial TV at least once a week. Difficult to maintain that momentum when your potential audience is limited to those that subscribe to Sky.
  20. Well the WCC managed to get Saints on the Telegraph page/app for a couple of days. I'd call that progress.
