Officials have always been the same for me, i remember when i first started going regularly it was and still is “he has always hated us” ”he never gives us anything”, “he came on the coach with opposition”, “i saw him smile & laugh with the opponents”. Coaches have always moaned, or gone berserk when the result didn’t go their way. Going back to Kel Coslett, Alex Murphy, all the way through to the current head coach. I am not surprised the game is still struggling for officials, the abuse they get is frightening.

If it was dreadful for myself it must’ve been apocalyptic for the SRD fans that turned up. The only highlight of the game was i had a £10 bet with a mate who said “Saints would win by 60pts”. Lomax’s missed goal just before FT has been the highlight of the season so far for me, it is the most i have celebrated & laughed watching Saints for a long time .

10,100 at Saints for that eighty minutes of torture.

I watched on BBC IPlayer - Implosion : The Titanic Sub Disaster”. The fella in charge of the submarine had it held together with sellotape & blue tac, he didn’t seem overly concerned. I feel sorry for the relatives who lost loved ones. Blue Peter could’ve done a far better job of building one.

I went to HKR earlier in the month. It’s a really good ground(i haven’t been since about 1994) with an excellent atmosphere. Craven Streat is very good with a great choice of food, the ale & tea is cheaper than they dish out at Saints. A cup of tea is 90p cheaper than at Saints, they also have two pint pots which i am a big fan of. The prematch entertainment, well i don’t know who they were but they were so bad it was funny. That’s where the fun stopped, it was disheartening knowing the game was over by HT then i had to sit through another 40mins(felt like an hour). Two of my 3 mates went to the bar under the stand and stayed there for most of the second half. The only other downsides bar the result was the journey over, we got there before KO but a couple of coaches missed the first 20mins. Then the journey back i think i was dropped off at around 1.20am. I vowed after that loss not to go another away game this season.

I will be sorry to see him leave wire & the SL, i think he has been a great player and really entertaining to watch. He has caused my club a lot of problems over the last couple of years. Good luck to the lad wherever he goes. -
Starting 13 against Australia

I wouldn’t have Lees in the 17 man squad, i must be the only Saints fan that doesn’t rate him. His tackling is very good but he will never break a tackle or offload. Wane seems a huge fan of his so id imagine if he doesn’t suffer any injuries (i hope he doesn’t), he will be in the starting 13. -

I didn’t have a side who i wanted to win, even if Wire are one of our local rivals i don’t go with the hatred that some Saints fans have for Wire (probably vice versa) or any club for that matter. I just wanted a good game which i think we got, the quality wasn’t great because of the weather but it was still a really exciting match. I hope Lindop’s error doesn’t affect him in the long run. If Wire would’ve won would the club have offered him a new contract ?.

Excellent crowd.

FC were fantastic Adam Sezer’s kicking game was top notch, Pryce was also really good along with their pack. It was unusual to see the Leopards make so many errors in the 1st half, Ipape was still Leigh’s standout player. It was also odd having Charnley on the bench and Dwyer 18th man. I still have faith that Leigh will finish third in the table.

England v Australia 2025 - coming to the UK!

My niece now works in London as a doctor she is marrying another doctor who is of Indian descent. His first love is cricket, then football (Liverpool), he doesn’t know the first thing about RL, but i have told my niece to take him to Wembley as he will love the whole event. She said “if they’re not working that day they will definitely go”. I did tell Vish “the next time they’re up in Sint Tellins i’ll take him a Saints match”, but i have changed my mind as i don’t want him to be put off the game of RL forever. -

I apologise if this has been mentioned before but do they have standing sections at Wembley now, if not do you think they would consider bringing it back.
