Leigh fan here, wish Salford could attract fans and a benefactor to create a great future, but taking ownership of their own creation is what I most wish for them. They are a basket case commercially - our play off was a case in point, we would have paid at least a tenner more on the ticket price and sold just as many. They gave the fixture away to court the council leaving probably £100k out of the coffers -

Pay day next Friday No money means probable breach of contract making players free agents - let’s see how willing the Salford owners are to dip into their personal cash, being so confident of how it’s a temp cash flow issue it would be risk free for them, surely -

1. We played Salford at LSV in the M8’s 2016 2. Traffic was an absolute nightmare getting to Salford in the play offs this year. The car park was no better. 3. A lot of bell ed kids were looking for trouble after the game, something the regular fans were not happy with - maybe this is why they can’t reach potential, even Salford fc are struggling to attract crowds with sub 3k average. 4. Salfords gates at the willows were no better in SL 5. A large board near to the motorway will generate sub 50k pa -

They shouldn’t have better cash flow than Nov/Dec sponsors season tickets and merchandise all coming in. Salford cannot work unless fans and business’s make it work. This plea should have gone to them to plug this gap, unless they know it’s going to blow later bar another council miracle? -

Many clubs didn’t take the loans as they were deemed not good value if you intended to pay them back, my club didn’t for example. RU clubs took it then went bust -

In the last 2 posted results Rhinos LOST £3.5m in total. The parent Caddick plc or whatever it’s called made £85m in the same period. -
Probably been said but we, Leigh, appear in 7 Thursday fixtures!!! The day hated by fans/corporate etc and we appear in 7 of them considering there would be 52 an average would be 4/5 per club say 2 home and 2 away. Hope Sky are paying for this honour

Wasn’t the share fiasco to get the PG off a directors back? Followed by we won’t be selling players, followed by the exodus with big fees paid to them whilst all along not paying rent and getting bailed out by the council?? That shepherd boy must be close to falling on deaf ears soon -

IMG Grading System (Many Merged Threads)
sweaty craiq replied to marklaspalmas's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Must be the Welsh pochin effecting the memory. 2021 DB was ‘told’ no relegation - at the time the season was about to start, no quality available and Covid restricting income. This changed, he then went about a rebuild for 2022 knowing the squad would get better as the season progressed, imo that team would have been T4 in SL. Started with the coaching set up, medical team, conditioner and players in that order. There are no guarantees of promotion but as soon as the pitches dried up there was only ever going to be one winner. He threw the cash at that team knowing that major recruitment in October to be SL competitive was impossible. Img were not a influence on his decision, they were not around. Of the 10 quota in the squad Inu was retiring, Aekins Ioane and Hingano were being released, Stone had allegedly signed back to NRL. Fergie was being retained until the red mist came. The 5 year plan was promotion and then build in SL. Start a ladies team and get it SL competitive and get an elite academy licence and make it the best it can be within 3 years.
