  1. So growth without sustainability? I believe that was the first incarnation of the Bulls' recipe for success.
  2. We used more than that at Thatto Heath.......
  3. It would be interesting to see the breakdown of the actual 'contact' sports covered in the study.
  4. He's not suspended by the RFL but by the Club, so no need for any loophole.
  5. While at the same time the leader of Salford Council is quoted in a national newspaper bemoaning the fact they are having to make cutbacks to services, jobs and pay......
  6. Just a heads up for anyone crossing the pennines to attend games this weekend: the M62 will be closed between J19 and J20 from 9pm on Friday 6th to 6am on Monday 9th for bridge replacement work - it will also be similarly closed weekend commencing Friday 20th.
  7. I'll put this here rather than the match thread. Note if you're travelling to Swinton on Sunday you may want to allow extra time for travelling as the M62 will be closed between J19 and J20 from 9pm on Friday to 6am on Monday for bridge replacement work - it will also be similarly closed weekend commencing Friday 20th.

  8. As I've said before, if there is any real interest it will be in a small number of clubs from the NH to form a worldwide league.
  9. No, he got banned for throwing the ball at the Toulouse player's head. Same as Patton for a similar offence
  10. Not really. The revaluation will almost certainly have no effect on insurance. The buildings/stadium will (or should) already be insured for rebuild (to modern standards) which will be considerably more than either their actual 'worth' or this revaluation (one new, modern stand is going to cost £10m or so if they ever build it). Carrying spare parts add to costs not assets; that's why companies try to run lean. And finally, to swap the argument around, are you suggesting they've been undervaluing for some time to gain an advantage?
  11. Just to add to my earlier reply, an ',old' stand is one built before 2015.........
  12. The audit isn't going to question the integrity of a Charterd Surveying company.
  13. Guess so, and in a shock twist it also helps their IMG score.......
  14. I see in their latest set of accounts Cas have revalued WR to over £8m (increase in value of £5.7m!) to mean they now have net assets of £4.1m as opposed to net liabilities of £400k a year earlier......
  15. I've seen A's brother B N Other turn out a couple of times.....
  16. I suspect Sheffield are missing Thackeray more than there are Aston.
  17. The most likely scenario is the NRL 'headhunting' the 'top' 2 or 3 clubs...
  18. Yeah, definitely the club's fault.....
  19. I suspect they're also missing Thackeray who I don't think has played since they beat 'fax at the beginning of July
  20. As I've posted elsewhere the requirements for the directors' seating area and access to/from it are relaxed from the minimum standards quoted if you have an old stand.
  21. One of the problems is that several of the categories offer little to no demarcation to realistically split those clubs in the middle eg ground/facilities meet 8 of the 9 criteria* and you score the same as a club that meets 1, profit of £1.01 score the same as a club with a profit of £1m, profit of £1 score the same as a club with a loss of £1m. * and some of those 9 criteria/minimum standards aren't the same for all clubs
  22. Fev v Oldham (League 2 play off final) Bramley Buffaloes v Fev Lions (National Conference play off final) Widnes let me down on my 3 winners wish list
  23. There were 3 games that day.....
