  1. As well as gazza's reply, this probably added to the reasons why a fine handed out a few weeks ago wasn't suspended The fine reflects the club’s failure to properly comply with the law, Operational Rules and the RFL investigation. The club deliberately withheld information from the investigator, in order to avoid players being stood down. The actions of individual club members led to an unnecessarily protracted, expensive and extremely time-consuming process. Points deduction and fine for Featherstone Rovers (rugby-league.com)
  2. I'm sure that had an influence but: The fine reflects the club’s failure to properly comply with the law, Operational Rules and the RFL investigation. 3. Only if you had at least 7 of your (top 25, if same rules as SL) players unavailable due to Covid. Judging by Greenwood's comments it was only 6, so it would have gone down as a 24-0 loss making your win% the same as having played and lost - points average% would be slightly better. Add in potential additional sanctions such as a points deduction and/or fine for failing to fulfil a fixture and you can see why the club wanted to play.
  4. I found that cached article just before posting (and as is clear didn't read all of it!) - the one I was going to post just said 2 year deal and had the same quote from FH (but essentially a release clause )
  5. Re Frankie H - I assume he must have had a release clause in his contract as it was widely reported that he signed a 2 year deal in September 2020? Speaking about the move, Halton said: “I’m really excited to be joining Featherstone for the next two years, FRANKIE HALTON SIGNS FOR ROVERS | Featherstone Rovers (bingj.com)
  6. Here's some news for the conspiracy theorists RFL fine Castleford, Huddersfield and Salford for operational rule breaches around Covid-19 - BBC Sport
  7. Castleford, Huddersfield and Salford have been fined by the Rugby Football League for breaches of operational rules relating to Covid-19 protocols. RFL fine Castleford, Huddersfield and Salford for operational rule breaches around Covid-19 - BBC Sport
  8. Some Aussie paper started the rumour. As nedera points out (and I have in the past) he hasn't yet appeared in The Times' Rich List, which I believe needs you to have £85m to make the (2020) top 1000.
  9. He was on a documentary a while back and said to be worth around £60m - that obviously includes the value of his property and horses, not money available to spend/invest. If this partnership comes off I'm not sure which one of them I'd feel most sorry for....
  10. More proof that some of the members of these boards inhabit an alternate reality....
  11. If you want to be certain could always buy online (think it's 25p admin charge but save £2 on price before midnight) https://rovers.mysportstickets.co.uk/events/home/Dewsbury_Rams_795 Hope the M62 is quiet and you have a safe and enjoyable trip
  12. The Betfred Championship table is being determined on Win Points Percentage in 2021, to allow for the possibility of matches not being played. This punishment reduces London from 17 points to 15 from 13 matches, and reduces their Win Points Percentage (number of points divided by number of matches, multiplied by 50) from 65.38% to 57.69%. They drop from fifth to sixth in the table, below Batley Bulldogs. Operational Rules Tribunal – London Broncos (rugby-league.com)
  13. Pretty sure you can - need to go to the ticket hut and buy a ticket there first. You should see it in front of you across the car park at the Post Office Rd end as you walk in (ask the car park attendant if unsure but there's likely to be a queue just to the right of it where you get your ticket scanned to gain entry)

  19. Depends on the terms of the loan. They usually include a clause to prevent playing against parent club but nothing to prevent if not.

  23. I'd be surprised if the loan terms allow him to play against us, but he could very well line up for us.
