Predictions for the future -

Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG

Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT

Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG

Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

I promise to pay 10 to the charity of Bomb Jacks choice if Widnes Millionaires finish above the battling underdogs Crusaders RL. I OWE A TENNER!

Great news for North Wales and a fantastic knock at RU.

Would have been better if they had the Welsh colours on, not you no who's ;)

you no who have 5 Welsh lads in total on the books, 3 with exceptional chance of making it.

Watch out France :P

I think the france vs wales games in years to come are going to be crackers and we should push each others development and hopefully play each other at every level generating intense rivalries. I think it will do france the world of good to have wales pushing them rather then them getting a shot at the big boys by default. Make them work for it and they are better prepared to step up, at least to a degree.

A regularly competitive wales and france and you watch the international game go! So frustratingly close. I hope we make it and the heartland naysayers can see just how important that would be to the health of the game long term. Imagine an international game where wales, france, png, england, australia and nz were on realitvely equal terms! Everything done to bring that about is worth it imo.

Good Post.

My honest opinion

With the info i have on the youth set at my club, and other Welsh youngster out at other clubs, Wales will push France all the way, the french could fall behind them in the ranks.

It'll be interesting to see How Well the welsh go and we'll then hear all the excuses about French RL.

mark my words.

Crusaders will get more Welsh players coming thru in time (yes so will the frogs) but the Welsh well improve at a quicker rate IMHO.

Go Wales!!!

I totally agree. It was during the 1995 World Cup that i first began to truly appreciate league and Wales played a big part in what made it an exiting competition.

Absolutely agree. Always had a soft spot for Wales, as some of my favourite players in the early 90's were from there. Allan Bateman, Kevin Ellis and Jonathan Davies were brilliant and served Wire and Wales RL very well.

I even remember Wire putting a coach on for the Wales v Australia game in Cardiff in 1994!

How can we have blown so many opportunities after that 1995 WC? We had 30k for an England v Wales game at Old Trafford!

I have always found Welsh people to be appreciative of RL, and it was really good seeing so many genuine Wrexham people watching the Crusaders at the Racecourse Ground. It would be nicer if there were more, but hey, that's for next season now.
