Jim from Oz
Plus this: Whatever he does in the years ahead, Semi Radradra can take satisfaction from being responsible for a change in rugby league's international eligibility rules. The RLIF announced at the weekend the residency period that qualifies you for a country had been extended to five years. Of course, the residency criteria only helps countries with professional club teams so the change is exactly what's needed to handicap the likes of Australia, New Zealand and England. It might hurt France, who have been known to pick the odd Aussie or Kiwi, as well. Next: allowing Origin players to represent tier-two nations without having to change their country of election. http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/cronulla-sharks/nrl-finals-2016-cronulla-sharks-star-andrew-fifitas-consorting-warning-not-due-to-kieran-loveridge-jail-visit-20160911-grdqgk.html
