Canada Wolverines v USA Hawks Sept 24

Recommended Posts

Pretty disappointing, 500-600 or so I'd say. Having said that, it was on the same night as the Toronto FC play off with Philly, the Blue Jays against the NY Yankees and to top that off Canada were playing Russia in the hockey World Cup, so to get what we did with that competition isn't too bad, but certainly needs improvement.

A flat performance and mistakes at crucial times saw Canada Wolverines lose to the USA Hawks 8-14. A last minute converted try to Hawks winger Jon St. John sealed the win.

Canada were leading with 10 to go and basically lost it themselves, but overall a very even contest where both defences were difficult to break down.

Did you catch the Wolfpack tryouts beforehand?

I did, yes. A couple of quick lads, former Wolverines and Wolverines not picked for the USA game. Tony Felix and Enoch Wamalwa were there and it was good to see Chad Bain again, he's definitely someone with potential for a hard running forward. Even Adam Fogerty did one of the sprint drills, much to the delight of the few of us there.

Just watched and enjoyed the  latest game in Toronto, was impressed with the standard and these guys could hold there own in the championship. The  Canadian team should do well in 2017 and no doubt increase the gates in that league.
