Prompted by the brilliant thread that Colly started, which has now been locked, I was taking a look at the level of interest on here in our match threads, as I have remembered thinking over the last few weeks how crazy they have been and that it has been great that they have been so bustling. I know 8 pages of discussion 24hrs before kick off isn't good enough for Colly, but it seems pretty good to me. So I had a quick look back at a few other key games:

Million Pound Game - 27,596 views, 1039 posts (43 pages)

Super League Grand Final: - 19,856 views, 487 posts (20 pages)

World Cup Opener - Eng v Oz - 29,481 views, 1075 posts (43 pages)

World Cup Semi Final - 23,990 views, 1,029 posts (42 pages)

I think there are some interesting results there. The 2 SL semi finals got between 280 and 450 posts for comparison.

The spike in interest in internationals versus things like the Grand Final is telling, and also things like the MPG - although it was a Leigh thread so maybe an anomaly on here!

Wonder where we end up for the WC Final.

That probably depends more on the performance of the referee than the players, unfortunately.
