£10 million from the Government to spend on grass roots RL

Recommended Posts

Its ok having land , well equipped club house and facilities or nice all weather pitches/training areas  in fact there are plenty of such cubs which already have this but have little or no kids or youth members  joining and participating in the game . There needs to be huge focus on re branding and marketing the game of rl throughout the schools and youth clubs and sport centres etc and some real incentives offered in poorer working class areas and social housing estates and high rise buildings . Maybe an initiative through the DWP offering vouchers for selected sports outlets for boots and other gear for kids in unemployed or single parent families or other government agencies  who handle child offenders rehabilitation  drinking or drug use kids who need a new focus in life and get their bodies back in shape  , Mosques , Refugee agencies ( look at what Muslim immigration has done in football ) and the advantages of closer relations of religious and ethnic integration . Somewhere out there are possible superstars of the game but need a nudge and or financial help to show them there's a way to achieving health , new friendships and even a possible career though rl .

Great news. I just hope the money is distributed fairly and equally amongst the club's.

I hope every last penny is spent on community clubs: buying land, building new facilities, improving current ones.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for our game to improve the (often woeful) facilities on offer. We cannot afford to waste it.
