A messy game, with a lot of lost possession, especially when the ball was wet early on, but Newcastle look promising, although the backs lack experience.

Broncos v Eels next. No attendance restrictions in Queensland at the moment, so we should get a decent crowd/atmosphere... unless Brisbane are as awful as they were in 2020.

That middle period killed us. Gave away way too many set restarts and made some really dumb errors in our own 20. Gave the Knights way too much good ball and they got on a roll. A lot to work on but there were some positives in there too. Probably not the best conditions to have your first game under a new coach and have 6 new guys in the 17 either

Not that it made a difference but surely that was played at by Watson. Jackson backed it up and put the ball down
