Guest Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 They'll get a good few in two years when Wigan poach him, too.
BrisbaneRhino Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 Croft has some good aspects to his game, and he really has been unfortunate to play in the worst Broncos side ever. He probably wasn't the greatest fit at the Broncos, but Milford was the main playmaker, who has been absolutely awful for several years now. Early this season Croft seemed to let games drift by, but he's been much better since recalled recently. If he can get his Storm mojo back he'll be a very good buy for Salford.
nadera78 Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 Brisbane Broncos have so many deep-seated issues I don't think it's really possible to accurately judge individual players. The club is just a mess from top to bottom, and has been for a while. But I do like the way Ian Blease goes about recruiting players - always has an eye on a player's potential upside, trusts the club can help them find that, and then a potential sale down the line. BrisbaneRhino Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 Agree re the Broncos. Probably the most important step they've taken is getting certain players physically away from the club, even if it means having to pay part of their salaries. Its probably no coincidence that while the quality is still lacking, over the last month or so the effort has picked up enormously.

I thought the Brisbane Broncos really missed Kotoni Staggs, much the same way I thought the Titans were missing Corey Thompson. They`re both players who are able to capitalise on half chances and make those team lifting special plays. In Staggs case the Broncos just seem to get a cross the line more often and there`s nothing like the reward of points to keep a young team trying and not to give up because they don`t feel like they can score. Thompson, he`s just a little special, everything he does is 100% effort, I`m sure other blokes would try harder because he`s in the team and you wouldn`t want to let him down.
BrisbaneRhino Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 They've missed Staggs for sure, he's the X Factor player. But the effort in defence particularly is in a different league to earlier this season. Lodge and Pangai have not been missed in the slightest.
