We know 2 of England’s best, Tara Jane Stanley & Caitlin Beevers will be missing the big clash with the Jillaroos in Las Vegas.

Therefore, could/should England coach Stu Barrow consider the possibility of choosing 2 or 3 NRLW players who qualify through heritage ?

For example if Teagan Berry or Ellie Johnson had an English parent, they may be tempted to commit by offering them a spot in the squad for Vegas, the 2025 Ashes tour and the 2026 World Cup ?

I really like Parramatta centre Rory Owen, I wonder what her background is.

Fair enough, that’s why I asked the question to see what people think.

Thanks for the reply, was hoping for more feedback.

Kept it brief rather than reheat the arguments against heritage players aired umpteen times on threads about men's international RL.

I’m not against the idea if it’s a top player in a position we really need. I think those are halfback & prop. If Andrew Johns had used his Welsh grandparent age to play for GB, I’d have been delighted!

I’m assuming this won’t be on the coach’s radar. He (and his predecessor) have been very loyal to the performance squad members.

"All sorts" was in the same hyperbolic vein as the piece in terms of specifics. Along with Jasmin Strange, it names Keilee Joseph and Kirra Dibb. Would assume both are ineligible.

According to Stu Barrow: "I've been contacted by several agents regarding heritage players".

If we select 2 or 3 to be a bit more competitive, why not 4 or 5 to be even more competitive?

England v Australia with 5 Aussies in the England team isn't really England v Australia.

Doesn't seem to bother the media circus around the 6 Nations about the lack of Scots.
