Well its Hunslet and an all Yorkshire final.

A little suprised but Hunslet show again that they are a dangerous side although Hornets did have a slightly weakened team.

Should be another good game. I really think the League 1 play offs have been excellent.

Alreadylooking forward to this one.

Should be a good game, with lots of sub plots taking place. Obviously Dean Muir coming back to his home town club and potentially scuppering Keighley's play off hopes. George Flanagan v George Flanagan, with the banter already starting online for everyone to see.

I thought yesterdays game would be much tighter, but with Rochdale missing 3 of their spine players it looks like Hunslet were able to get on top in the second half.

Sunday will be a game we are favourites for but will be by no means a simple task. I'm sure everyone will be aware of that though. Looking forward to it already.

Very disappointed in todays performance. We were very poor and saved our worst performance of the year 'till last.

We have really missed Bishop and Pickersgill in our last two games with very little creativity.

Our left side has sufferd since we haven't adequately covered the left wing position.

Not too sure why we start with Iaone on the bench.

Our effort was there just very disorganised.

Good luck to Hunslet for next week.

Agree with all of that. Bishop dropped because he's moving on for next season. He would have been a better option at 6 and at 9, but for some reason he can't make the 17. Pickersgill is injured, but i agree we've missed him. Calm and composed at the back and doesn't kick it dead on the second tackle.

Creativity and ideas were severely lacking yesterday, it looked like we'd never played together. Thomas kicking on tackle 2, Dean kicking out on the full or giving 7 tackle sets away, Mitch Revell kicking at the end of a set, players receiving the ball when they aren't expecting it. Really really poor from the off. As you mention, the effort was there from the players, we just looked lost and like we have no game plan.

I am sure there'll be a reason he's not making the 17, other than "he's moving on". He's a professional player and if Ben Dean is the long term option, why not Ben Dean?

If anything Miller went missing yesterday and the less said about Oscar's performance the better. The halves have been the problem all year.

What reason would that be then? Bishop has arguably been our best hooker and half this season, yet can't get a game in front of Brown who isn't a hooker. More square pegs in round holes. Says plenty that it's another player leaving us to join a club who are playing in a higher division.

Why not Ben Dean? Did you not see his performance yesterday? I don't want to be harsh as he is only a young lad learning his trade, but I don't think he's quite ready for first team yet. His kicking game was poor yesterday and we offered little to no threat down the left edge. He was wound up by a Hunslet player in the first few minutes and from then on his head had gone. Jack wasn't great either, but at least his kicks caused some problems and meant we turned the ball over in their 10 rather than giving 7 tackle sets away.

Totally agree on Oscar Thomas, kicking dead on tackle 2 and dropping high balls. The usual set of mistakes from him the he seemingly never learns from. Hopefully he moves on now this season is done.

Couldn't be happier 😁 well done hunslet🥳

That seems to be general consensus in the RL fraternity! Hunslet fully deserved the win, so congratulations to them. All masterminded by a coach who is a Keighley lad through and through. Just shows a well coached team can be greater than the sum of it's parts.

I don't think he's set the world on fire at 6 or 9... and I've watched a lot of Keighley games this year. Didn't he play in the halves in the Hunslet loss earlier in the year?

He's leaving to be closer to home from what I understand as the commute between Cumbria and Keighley was too much, which is fair enough. It didn't help he spent the first 4 months of the year (preseason, what should have been the important part gelling with the spine) rehabbing injuries.

He was really good at coming off the bench at 9. Him coming on at the same time as Hatton added real impetus to our attack, I think we've missed that. He did play in the halves in that game, he was probably our best player that day. He also suffered that freak throat injury fairly early on in the game.

That is true, he was commuting from Cumbria to Keighley. He is, however, still joining a club in the division above us.

Probably because Workington and Whitehaven don't have the money for him? By all accounts he was on a very good salary with us and I don't think he delivered anywhere near a top spine performance if that is indeed the truth.

So if he's going back to Cumbria to play for one of those three teams its just a process of who can pay the best salary... regardless of what division they are in.....

Whitehaven obviously won't have the money. Not sure on Workington, they seem to be on the up and are likely to be much better next season under Gorley, but I've no idea what their money situation is.

You're probably right that Barrow can offer him the most money of those 3. I had also heard he is/was good money with us and he probably won't be getting that at Barrow. He does have a good job at Sellafield though so maybe it's not all money orientated and he want's to play champ rugby next season.

Again i'd agree that I was probably expecting more. I wish him well and hopefully we can use the money freed up to bring 1 or maybe 2 players in.
