I see that ex Wests Tigers player David  Nofualuma has signed with Pia & will play in Sunday’s derby against St Esteve.

That’s a good pick up for teams at this level.

Limoux on youtube live stream right now, but it is unwatchable. Camera is so far from the field and not zoomed in. No scoreboard either, anybody know the score?

Bad news for all those who will not be present at the Aiguille stadium tomorrow.

The evolution of the score will probably be followed on the social networks of XIII Limouxin.

An interesting that people fail to weigh up, when people are discussing Toulouse reaching SL and their overall viability is this.  Just how bad their reserve team has been for the last few years.  They seem to always be finishing at the bottom, whereas St Esteve (Catalans reserves) are usually near the top.  Toulouse's feeder system needs to get much stronger (at least mid-table) in order for their first grade team to get stronger as well.

Usually our trips to Southern France are in the summer and are timed to coincide with Catalans home games, but we have just spent a week there in November, and went to see Lezignan Corbieres play St Gaudens.

it was brilliant value for 10 euros!

There was a real community feel in a tidy historic stadium with the rebuilt modern wooden ncovered stand. And the game had everything...a bad start by the home team 0-12 down after ten minutes and looking incapable of scoring, but somehow 12-12 at half time. Then what a revelation in the second half, not just a string of tries, but tactical penalty taking and a drop goal to protect the marhgin they had built.

there were a couple of pantomime villains on the other team; one a player not happy with being sin binned, the other a trainer.

They have a nice bar area and the whole atmosphere is reminiscent of RL towns up North, Lezignan having a population of 11,000, with the X111 set up a real community focus with teams at u-19, u-15 and u-13.

Well worth savouring.

You should have said you were coming along i would have come over and said hello, Lézignan have teams from u7s to open age, plus a girls u17s and a womens team that's in partnership with Villeneuve Minervois, I hope you had a look at the mural on the wall facing the bar which tells the club's history, yesterday the u13s played before the 19s and first team at the moulin, the 15s second team and girls teams both played at the training ground, the 17s game was unfortunately called off as the Lyon team didn't have enough players

It's a great club,
