Surely he has to be accountable though, the lack of attention to detail was appalling.

Jillaroos scored several tries on the last tackle.

The accuracy of the passing was terrible.

The first up impact from one little prop was horrendous, lost every collision so therefore put the team on the back foot.

I agree somewhat but the fact that technique from the English players is so bad has to go back to club and community coaches rather than the english coach. Barrow can only play the hand he has been dealt and in comparison to the Aussies, he is picking the best of a bad bunch. This will get better in coming years and the gap will close as the Aussies do not have the room for improvement that England have but its going to be hard to close that gap as much as is needed at leat over the next decade or so.

Not much he or the RFL could say in the immediate aftermath.

I remain wholly unaware of Stuart Barrow's credentials. His predecessor was filmed by the BBC telling England players that "it's a real simple game". Would be helpful, in the coming months, to get some inkling that the current coach sees Rugby League in a different light.
