HUNSLET have high hopes of Jordon Baker, the emerging prop they have signed from Hull FC.
The West Hull junior product is among three close-season recruits from the Super league club’s production system along with fellow frontrower Will Wilson and outside back Ben Johnson.
Both have penned twelve-month terms, with Baker aiming to build on bright performances for Hull Reserves.
Hunslet coach Kyle Trout called Baker “a young man with a huge ceiling”, adding: “He has come through a fantastic system at Hull, training alongside full-time professionals, and he is desperate to test himself in the senior game.
“He plays with real intent, sets a strong physical platform and is a brilliant fit for the culture we are building here.”
Baker said: “This is a massive opportunity for me. I’m ready to step out of Reserve-grade rugby and prove what I can do at competitive senior level.
“Hunslet are a club with a massive history and passionate fans, and I can’t wait to run out at the South Leeds Stadium and give everything for the shirt.”
