Mose Masoe’s manager has denied reports that the Samoan international will be leaving St Helens and joining St George Illawarra next year.
Media outlets in Australia have reported that Masoe is set to join the Dragons if he can secure a release from Saints. The prop signed a two-year contract with St Helens in June 2013 and helped the club to victory in this year’s Super League Grand Final against Wigan.
Steve Gillis, Masoe’s manager, told League Express that the reports were incorrect.

“I’ve got no idea who made that up,” said Gillis.
“I can say 100 per cent that Mose will be at Saints next season.”
A St Helens spokesman confirmed that Masoe has not asked for a release from the final year of his contract. The Kiwi forward is currently on Four Nations duty with the Samoan national team.

Born and raised in New Zealand, Masoe joined the Sydney Roosters in 2008. He made his debut for the NRL club in 2010 and after 46 appearances for the Roosters, he signed for Penrith in 2013.
The 25-year old played 17 games for the Panthers before his switch to St Helens, after he appeared for Samoa in last year’s World Cup.
In Super League this season Masoe scored six tries in 24 games for Saints. He averaged 82 metres, nine carries, 15 tackles and two tackle busts per match.
