Wigan Warriors have been dealt a huge injury blow, after it was revealed England winger Josh Charnley will be out of action for up to two months.
Charnley sustained the injury during last Friday’s thumping victory against Dewsbury Rams in the Tetley’s Challenge Cup, and is now set to miss a significant part of the season with a knee injury.
With reserve winger Dominic Manfredi’s loan at Salford Red Devils set to come to an end in the coming days, it could well be that Manfredi steps into the slot left free by Charnley’s injury blow. However, the Warriors have plenty of cover in the backs, with the likes of Iain Thornley and Joe Burgess both impressing so far in 2014.
