Looking forward to reading the article on Canada. I enjoyed Gavin Willacy's article on the history behind Italian domestic RL in the last issue. I just wish he'd remembered to take his camera.

After criticising the ad for RLW on the back of LE last month, I have to say this month's ad looks a lot better. The magazines not bad either.

Plenty of reading to do this weekend. I've still half of last month's to get through first.

John, I need a reminder the week before to finish the previous issue, please!

Overall I have to say I found Phil Larder's cup final report a disappointing read. Not enough focus on the cup winners in my opinion, mentions the offside decision wich led to Atkins' second try but by comparison completely fails to mention the american football style(i.e miles forward)pass that led to the Leeds "touchdown"(sorry, try.) Dave Woods fares little better and claims that the new wembley is still waiting for it's first classic final. Personally I feel the challenge laid down to Leeds last week by Warrington was classic,if Leeds cannot match that challenge,is that Warrington's fault???????

My working life is spent with colleagues who are true union fans, and were brought up with the game through their schooling. They know I am an ardent league fan, but after a number of years we are able to discus our respective games on a constructive level. Their view of the final was much the same as mine in that it was rather one sided, and Leeds were lacking power in their forwards which due to injuries was natural. At present forward passes are very much prevalent in both codes at the present time, and was not seen as an issue. SWorry, not a game to rouse emotions.
I am enjoying the magazine this month, with plenty of reading for fans of all clubs, not just the cup finalists, though of course they deserve their extra coverage.

Another good 'un, well done.

I was particularly interested to read Bob Brown's views on winter rugby.

Bought my copy yesterday. Masthead needs some attention. This months colour made it very hard to spot amongst all the others on the shelf.
