On the pitch this season has been a disaster, off the pitch a different story, however one should compliment the other, and our player recruitment has been shocking, I don’t understand the logic of bringing people half way around the world who are probably not much better then players available in England. Do we look to the Scottish borders for players, probably an untapped market. It’s great to have the off field stuff going on, but I for one want to see us competitive and perhaps winning a few games on the field.

Oldham fans in the bar before the game where not optimistic about the future, one said they go every game as it could feasibly be the last. Who knows.
-
Two school boy errors from the officials, firstly the first try they scored was so blatantly forward even the Oldham fans where laughing, then we kicked off the Oldham winger jumped from the field of play caught the ball on the full and landed in touch, that is not out on the full, should have been Town ball, penalty on half way to Oldham. they went the up the other end ( some poor tackling from us) and scored. Small margins, but we more than competed with them.
-
Outstanding second half, Jamie Doran and Logan Blacker really led the team around the field and dominated the play with excellent kicking and organisation. No argument with Lewthwaite getting MOM probably his best game for us.
-
We are in a terrible state, our friends at Whitehaven warned us about our recruitment plans, as the same happened to them, how do we get out of this situation bearing in mind we play all the top clubs and even ones that finished below us last season have improved, we haven’t.
-
You can’t dress this up at all, the 2 tries at the end totally insignificant, Barrow too big, too fast and a hell of a lot more skilful, half backs who can run a game when the pack is so clearly on top. We are playing with no heart or commitment so so poor, not finding touch from a penalty, losing the ball on 1st and 2nd tackle, 3 sets on their line in the first half and never looked like scoring, players brought from the other side of the world are clearly not up to scratch, who is responsible for recruitment because they are well off the mark. Something needs sorted and quick. I have watched Town for over 65 years and never been so downhearted, dread what the score will be next week v Oldham.

Yet another heavy defeat to a team that finished below us last season, they have improved, we haven’t, if anything gone backwards, listening to the commentary too much dropped ball in good positions, poor discipline and can’t finish near the opponents line, sounds familiar.

Excellent recovery from last week, sounded a very dominant performance, great start scoring first, well done.️
-
100% agree, from memory I think we have only once scored first in any league match this season ( Salford ). A good start is imperative.

Looks like we are going to Hunslet with a depleted squad and they have brought in 5 loan players, I am not in favour of these short term loans as it makes such an imbalance in terms of availability. I do admire us for not going down this route but it might just bite us in this match, hope not.️

Total embarrassment, when are they going to realise the majority of players we have got/signed are not up to the standard for this league.
-
After 65years of following town, I have never been so embarrassed, not good enough, too small and no pace. This is atrocious. Get it sorted and fast.
-
Need to get some players in and fast, because what we have are not good enough.
-
Switches the radio off, this is going to be a cricket score.

This is my concern, that this whole project is lead by the Reds and we are just a secondary consideration, good luck to them and great that they have just managed to survive and avoid relegation, but I would like to see more references to the benefits for Town.
