  1. We could say the same for all clubs.
  2. Coach to Stansted then Ryanair to Toulouse or Coach to Heathrow then Air France or BA to Toulouse. Seems reasonably simple or are there budget constraints that preclude these routes?
  3. From experience I find that the average Aussie footy fan has little or no knowledge of footy outside Australia and tend to be conditioned by their media and pundits into thinking if it's not Australia its ######.
  4. Sam Allardyce on a caretaker basis.
  5. I remember going to Alfreton Town in the mid/late eighties to watch Trinity play Mansfield Marksmen. The stand at the back of the posts seemed to be a three sided shed on top of a grass banking. I'm sure that things will have improved given the amount of money in football.
  6. I fear that if Salford 'sit out' 2026 with a view to returning in 2027 then they will never return. I hope I'm wrong.
  7. 2011 Tri Nations v Australia at Elland Road. Was at Sharlston game in the afternoon and felt a bit ropey with pains in the lower back. Went from there to Elland Road with my eldest daughter.Still feeling ropey and pains getting worse, came back from the karzi and promptly collapsed in agony. To cut a long story short I was taken from the ground in an ambulance to LGI where I was eventually diagnosed with kidney stones. All this before the KO. Never saw the game, daughter did, she stayed to watch and I was off to hospital on my own.
  8. 1978 Third Test v Australia at Headingley. Aussies won to take the series. I remember Roger Millward scoring at the old scoreboard end.
  9. If it's an Aussie ref he'll get caned at the ptb as he rarely plays it correctly. More so than most.
  10. The TV was propped up against a lamppost near the car park when we came out.
  11. As a Trinity supporter I hope we rack up a decent score tomorrow as I always want my team to win. However I have the utmost sympathy for the Salford fans at what has happened to their club. They've stuck with it through thin and thinner and deserve applause for this. I am mindful that once or twice over the last twenty years this could easily have been us.
