  1. Only just seen the game. What an absolute belter. Hats off to the BBC team. The tributes to John Kear were so well done and so clearly heartfelt.
  2. Was just hoping Hull would make a game of it but ended up disappointed we didn't take the chances we had to win the game.
  3. I still don't think Hull will win the game but you can't ask for any more than that. Outstanding commitment.
  4. That's a bit harsh. Thomas pulled out as soon as he realised Hill was in a dangerous position.
  5. Spot on, going to give everybody (players and fans alike) a lift just to see him back.
  6. Looks a more experienced and better balanced 17 than the one that featured at Leigh. Great to have Ese'ese back. However many minutes he plays we're desperate for him to come through it OK.
  7. Ming City Rockers at the Polar Bear in Hull earlier tonight. Great band, great venue.
  8. He certainly did it in style, winning five stages on the way to overall victory and becoming only the eighth man in cycling history to win all three grand tours. Bodes well for a epic battle in Le Tour. For once it looks like Vingegaard and Pogacar could both be heading to the race in the best possible shape at the same time.
  9. Thanks for the memories, JK.
  10. A mate of mine was a deckhand on the C. S. Forester but fortunately not on that occasion.
  11. That's how I'll always remember him. Clutching the Challenge Cup with that trademark beaming smile of his. I can hardly express how sad the news is but I will be eternally thankful to him for giving me one of the best days of my life. It just seems so cruel that he was taken so soon and so suddenly while he still seemed to be living his best life.
  12. Course he was. Good point. Now you mention it, I can picture him one the sidelines in his shirt sleeves getting agitated (but that could be another memory implant).
  13. It was a long time ago and your memory plays tricks but in my head it's definitely Murphy's voice that delivers that classic line.
