The Baron Mk11
Hornets win 18 - 38 well done lads and according to the tweets The Ginger General is back to his finest, that is certainly good to hear. Bridge, Crooky, Bloomers, Tilley, Yates and Hargreaves all on the score sheet. Lets hope we can kick on from here and show the form we know we are capable of. glemiln
A good and important 38-18 win, from which hopefully we can now kick-on and bring the experience of last season to our advantage. Look forward to reading the full report. Anyone know why Dean Mignacca is not playing? He seemed to be a signing that could cause defences a lot of problems. Heywood Tiger
Not sure why he isn't getting picked but apparently he played for Rochdale Cobras today. Also no Patterson today and I notice he's not on the team pictures.... http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/rochdalecobrasarlfc/ http://www.hornetsrugbyleague.co.uk/Home/Page http://www.wiganwarriors.com/

mickhornet
Just what we needed ,after a shaky start we started playing fast expansive rugby. Some delightful tries. None more so than Crooky, two dummys and a side step at speed from 20 yards a blinder!. This should restore our confidence having shown what we can do.Well played Boys!! Same again please next Saturday.
Heywood Tiger
Dean Mignacca is a coach at Cobras with Rammy not a player, good to see a Hornets player giving his time for a community club. http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/rochdalecobrasarlfc/ http://www.hornetsrugbyleague.co.uk/Home/Page http://www.wiganwarriors.com/
glemiln
Thanks for info. HT - good to see him 'keeping his eye in' - hopefully he and others will feature soon to ensure we have the best, rotating squad working (well) in unison for the hard season ahead. From the report on the TLCRFF80mins site Certainly Hornets look like a side searching for a bit of rhythm and direction - but when the error-count is so high, it's all you can do to keep your shape and keep going forward. we are still struggling despite the good (in the end) and welcome win. The next two home games will test our progress.
