YCK Reserves Released

York City Knights have been expelled from the Championship Reserves Grade competition after failing to fulfill six of their opening seven fixtures in 2015.

York have also been informed that the RFL will not accept any application from the club for entry to the 2016 Championships Reserve Grade competition.

In addition, the RFL has instructed York to ensure that any legitimate costs incurred by opposition clubs in relation to the cancelled fixtures are promptly paid in full.

Why is there no statement from the club on this.

so not only was I sold a season ticket for games at bc but was also told I would get free entry to reserve games. Do I have a case

sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forward

Why? Because the club don't want us fans to turn on them. Every week they come up with the same old 'there will be some positive news this week'. They tell this to fans at matches just so they don't start to think the club is in the s***. Guess what? There has never been any positive news!

Terrible news, look at the younger players we have brought through over the years, admittedly they don't all stay however all good for the game of RL.

Mr Guildford how can you let this happen.

So sad, very sad.

Personal opinion - and I know the RFL must have bent over backwards with the 'home' games situation, but think they are wrong (at this moment in time) to stop us having a reserve side in 2016 - lot of stuff could happen between now and then...

The RFL have been very lenient towards us, if a Football League club didn't have a ground at the start of the season they'd have been booted out already. Considering we have only fulfilled one out of seven games, it's a fair punishment. Not the fan's fault, not the coach's fault nor the players but we've been messing away clubs around all season in that reserve league and I'm sure the RFL don't want that again next season, especially if the situation is no closer to being finalised

Can't argue with most of that, just to add that I speak to the 'former' reserve team coach 4/5 times a week and all the games were called off usually 2 or 3 days before been played so hopefully no coats

But - if the Mcgills take over with Gary H as chairman & Simon H and Andy H on the board with a brand new ground, then surely they would expect the RFL to let them run a reserve team

I'm fairly certain that none of the Hall lads will be on the new board when McGill takes over.

Firstly... The game v Dewsbury was called off on the afternoon of the match. Some Dewsbury players had already left work early when they got the call, I believe all preparations had already been made and some staff were already on duty - hopefully, there will be a great deal of costs.

Lastly...

I'm bl**dy sure we don't want anything whatsoever to do with the club other than to watch it on a Sunday afternoon, Col. You've been mislead again. I thought better of you than to believe something as fanciful as that.

Guildford had banded this sh*te about before trying to discredit us - saying we were just smearing him to try and get control of the club for ourselves. Well... no...

We weren't even smearing him - what we were doing (and continue to do) is telling everyone exactly what he's been up to and what kind of man they're entrusting their passions and money to, using evidence to show we're not making anything up.

But, if anyone is still in any doubt as to the kind of rot we want to cut out of Rugby League in York...

And that isn't even the tip of the filthy iceberg, it's barely the echo of the foghorn mate. Guildford et al OUT!

This situation is getting out of control now. After hearing what was said on this post things are getting to a point where somebody could get hurt

It would be a great shame if someone did get hurt away from the pitch. This shouldnt happen in rugby league. We have a proud history off non violence off the pitch.I don't know what the hell is going on over there, someone needs to sort it before things get out of hand.If someone was to get hurt over this the purpertrayers would put a big black mark against our fantastic, beautiful game

Andy - will listen to the recording later - bit awkward at work

Think you may have taken my comments the wrong way - actually think young blood, young business people with different, forward thinking, modern ideas have a place in the future running of a club like ours

Aye maybe - It's the "HallOfShame" thing that's kept him in at the RFL you know - claiming that all we want is to take over the club for ourselves, when infact, we're just the gobbyist and all we want is a decent club to watch.

You won't regret listening mate, I can assure you of that.

Sorry to admit that last year Mr G fed me questions to ask of James Alexander as he wouldn't do it himself , I was taken in at the time but thankfully I have seen the light , the man is an embarrassment to Rugby League & to OUR club more than anything , he is doing all this for his own infamy & families monetary gain , I paid for my season ticket last year & love watching this great young squad Fordy has put together but it leaves a sour taste knowing that any monies spent on anything related to the match day are going in his grubby pocket !!! If he has any integrity which I doubt ! He will sell up & disapear & allow this great club of OURS to go forward & thrive before he completely destroys it !!!! I find it difficult that some people are still taken in by the man , that fact he hasn't responded to any requests to go on the radio be it BBC RADIO YORK or MINSTER FM says it all for me

I too was taken in by him, and was fed questions to ask council officials, when the petition was given to the council in January and he was not there and his daughter (also a director) declined to be photographed. I started to ask questions of my own which led to the public meeting at New Earswick in February. From the moment that meeting was announced my family has been lambasted by that man.

I'm obviously missing something here and again just my opinion, some people keep talking about money allegedly been taken out of the club for 'other uses'

One question - what bl**dy money? Do people actually have any idea how much it costs to get the coaching staff and a 28 man squad?

Think we get £75k fro m the RFL, assume the rest of the income must be from:

1. Sponsers

2. Vice Presidents

3. Season ticket holders

4. Squadbuilder/Kiss Events

Everybody tells you just how few of the 1st 3 above we have nowadays & not sure how many people contribute to squadbuilder on a regular basis, but don't think its many

If you consider players contracts, winning money, all the away travel expenses - how the hell can there actually be any spare money to use?

In fact I think its the total opposite & people have to contribute from their own back pockets

Just give you an example here - heard a genuine conversation about a player who is not even a regular at Championship level, but he gets £300 winning money per game when he does play - so at that rate my yearly vice presidents money only actually pays the winning money for 1 player for 1 game

Obviously we don't pay that kind of money, but it gives you some idea of what it costs people who run clubs to actually try and compete to get to the next level
