  1. I once spilt a pint over someone during the game Saints. She wrung her sleeve out into her own pint glass. No fine tho
  2. I think the Asiata signing was a message to Hull fans that the club is doing something, rather than nothing. They can’t be faulted for that imo given the picture that the results on the field paint to passholders. Ive listened to Derek on a couple of YouTube videos and he came across pretty well however he really seems to chuck his toys out of the cot when nothing doesn’t suit.
  3. To be fair, it has rained heavily through the night and up until about 13:30. It would have been hard going for any team on that pitch. Three good young wingers on display. Hull their worst enemy in the first half, Leeds lacking much direction in the second but doing enough to win.
  4. From the current academy, Charles, Dawson, Wainhouse, Westerman, Lloyd Kemp, Hutchison, Turner. Some of these are right at the end of their age group though so you would expect they will be a year delayed in their physical development. I aren’t saying these are all nailed on, academy never are as they sometimes stray of the line, but these have a lot of ability. Edit: I should also add Lennon Clark. Those above plus those that are in the reserves/first team - Gardiner, Litten, Martin, Jebson, Laidlaw, Moy, Hodgson. The youth at Hull is showing a lot of promise and I think they have a decent bloke, in Pete Riding, watching over them. Foundation, I don’t know enough about.
  5. I agree. It should have never been announced on camera at all imo, but the sequence wasn’t as BodB intimates, but AP puts the money in so I guess he can do things as he feels. I think the control of the players had been lost by LF. The catalyst was Ellis asking him to leave the dressing room after a loss. Bad thing to do in front of the 1st team and I think is referred to in GE’s book. For the record, I don’t think Smith should’ve been sacked at all. Sacking the coach without one to take over isn’t really a good plan in anyone’s book. Never did make sense.
  6. This has been raised many times. AP finished Radford before he announced it on Sky.
  7. There is a fair bit of discomfort on Red V forum regarding Wellens but then these are the same fans that said Walmsley was garbage. Like I said, Salford have offered Rowley already for £150k. There is no forever home at the Reds. Anyway, could be that McDemott and Briers are in the box seat, according to Sky, which I’m surprised at. In the first instance I would have preferred Holbrook over everyone else but sacking Tony Smith didn’t make sense to me. Serious injuries to key players, missing out on half backs and then players getting banned all exacerbated the situation.
  8. Would be surprised. Salford gave Hull a figure of 150k as compensation. Hull appear to have agreed to paying it. Imo that means that Salford were willing to let him go, so it’s not a case of ‘we dont want you leave Paul’. If any other Club nearer to his home matches that offer I’m sure the Reds will not stand in his way.
