  1. Wow, I am speechless. This is peak amateur hour. Will fans also be asked to pour the pints at the bar at half-time and do some stewarding in between?
  2. Well because obviously playing numbers in Aus and NZ are in the tens of thousands, so they have plenty of depth there to make tiered rep teams. Europe is a polar opposite of that and some of the regions your mention only currently have one active nation there at the moment, for example: * Scandinavia / Nordic Countries - right now, this would only be Norway. * Balkans / Baltic States - Would basically be the Serbian national team maybe with a bolter from Albania, Montenegro and/or Bulgaria in there as well. * Mediterranean / Southern Europe - Greece, Lebanon? (Malta, Italy, Turkey seem quite inactive lately) * Eastern Europe - Ukraine, with maybe a player or two from Poland. * Central Europe - Czech RL only * Western Europe (Excluding France) - Netherlands, with a couple of German players. * British Isles (Domestic comp players in Wales, Scotland and Ireland) - Ok this would probably be the most mixed team, but would expect the majority to still be Welsh. I think it is a non-starter. Cost would be high. If teams were indeed made up of players from multiple countries, then even playing home matches would be expensive. Not to mention they would get no IRL financial support as they are not proper international matches. And as I said earlier, still does not achieve anything. Would Balkans vs Mediterranean, for example, really be that different (or that higher standard of match) than Serbia vs Greece? The answer is no.
  3. 1,303 at Oldham vs Newcastle 891 (unconfirmed) at Rochdale vs Cornwall.
  4. Will a team from Elite 1 drop down or will simply it expand by one team?
  5. Would be nice to see some footage or at the very least, some photos.
  6. Does today's winner get promoted to Elite 1?
  7. Definitely, there is no doubt that playing there is limiting their potential to grow. It seems a shame that the hill on the other side was completely empty, they should let fans into that area as well.
  8. 2k capacity at Championship level is terrible. Let's hope that new proposed stadium gets built!
  9. Yes I initially did not spot the late hit either. Great thing about FB live is that you can rewind and watch something again, then go forward again to the live spot. I did that a few times, then by the time the scrum packs down, play resets, you have not actually missed any action. "Throwback the the 5m era" is the perfect way to describe them actually. I see loads of potential in the Dutch side. They have all the skill, speed and size in their team to go all the way. However.... their completion rate was terrible and I believe a better team, like Wales, will punish that. Will be interesting to see, they play Ireland now on the 18th of May.
  10. Harsh, I thought the (Serbian) ref had a great game! That sin-bin was for a blatant late shot about a minute after she had passed the ball. The sin-bin in the first half was because she pulled her down by the ponytail. The forward pass at the end, I agree with you, looked ok to me. Very enjoyable game, anything but clinical! I would even recommend going and watching the replay, you will enjoy it!
  11. Ok, I do not know the ins and outs. But the fact they are still around 6 years after dropping out of League One is also somewhat a success in itself.
  12. I follow Hemel Stags on social media. They seem to be a great example of a club that smoothly transitioned back to being amateur and look like they are doing well. I do believe they own their ground AND clubhouse/bar though, so I suppose are far more financially robust than the Skolars are. Edit: and also seem to have an U16s team this year.
  13. I would be very interested to hear any updates regarding the game in Japan. As for the matches in Sydney, I'll pass. There are over a dozen "countries" doing the Sydney thing, some of which have no real desire to actually establish anything in the homeland. I hope Japan is not in that category.
