  1. Whilst most of your post is perfectly reasonable I don't necessarily agree with this bit. You have highlighted some of Hull's current issues with their lease, but that doesn't mean it always has to be that way. It depends what sort of deal you are able to agree for yourself. In hindsight the one we agreed when we moved in was a poor one.
  2. One of your posts that I fully agree with Worzel. Hull KR, like most rugby league clubs, are a big part of their local community. A good chunk of the fan base are born and raised in and around Preston Rd, Holderness Rd etc. Many will probably walk to the stadium on game day. Moving the club away from that area is only going to alienate many of those fans, and it's unlikely you would pick up many new one. Exactly the same would apply if Hull FC moved East.
  3. Briers was the one I wanted tbh (at least out of all the names that seemed plausible).
  4. If there's a genuine need for him I have no issue whatsoever with the recall. But if he's just been recalled because Beaumont is unhappy about the Asiata deal then it's very petty and a shame for the player.
  5. It doesn't matter how much money we've got to throw around, it's a salary cap sport, we can't just go and sign 10 superstars. Holmes is a solid addition, lots of experience and will hopefully help the development of the likes of Staveley and Jebson who will hopefully be the future of the second row position at Hull.
  6. If they've recalled him with the intention of playing him then that's fair enough. But he's out of contract at the end of the year I believe, and is trying to play well and put himself in the shop window. So if this is just a case of Beaumont throwing his toys out of the pram then it just shows how selfish he is.
  7. He would be another good signing and we definitely need to strengthen our second row, but we seem to be getting linked with the entire Leigh squad (and coach) at the minute so I'm taking it with a pinch of salt.
  8. On the whole wrongly named player saga. I think if I was in Myler's position I would have just allowed Warrington to rectify their error. But it's his perogative not to. At that point Burgess just needs to suck it up and accept that it was a Warrington mistake and he needs to own it. The way he carried on afterwards was embarrassing.
  9. I do believe there is a player in there somewhere. He is undoubtedly a strong ball carrier, and he's got good pace for a big man. He could prove to be an interesting project for a new coach, but obviously he's got to be willing to put the work in himself to get fit etc.
  10. Wild game. Cas started great but as soon as Leigh on on the board it looked like only one winner, until the remarkable finish from Cas. Draw was probably fair.
  11. Yep. If there was any doubt about the result before that there certainly isn't now.
