  1. Expect from a well run club? A much more professional statement thanking him for all his efforts including last year’s success, wishing him all the best for the future etc etc.
  2. I know he turned them down but that’s a fairly childish statement
  3. Response was IMG related so deleted to try to keep thread on track
  4. Which Wakefield are also doing so it’s not an IMG signing is it
  5. I hope John Drake has got the extra bandwidth arranged that this forum will need on the day of the announcement of the SL 2025 clubs
  6. In other seasons Wakefield would only have been able to sign players in November - that was the rule wasn’t it? Oh no didn’t Leigh sign a load of SL players whilst in the Championship but that was pre IMG so doesn’t fit some narratives
  7. Strange argument that doesn’t really hold water. You wouldn’t need to spend a billion pounds to sell out any game. Some clubs already have full houses for games. Some for the majority of their matches. The game is, if we are being honest, small time but with potential for uplift. Making profits whilst not realising full potential isn’t a great place to be for a professional sports club providing any losses are sustainable - see above paragraph. If you want all clubs to be profitable what would you cut? Players wages? Support staff? Academies? Scholarships? Ground capacities? Increased marketing by most, if not all, clubs would be great for the game and I include your own loss making club in that.
  8. So how does that increase turnover unless you sell more season tickets which would be a good thing?
  9. Please could you expand on what you mean by the bit in bold?
  10. Then it’s a text book voluntary tackle and not one of these fake but allowed voluntary tackles. However some defender will always put a hand on the ball carrier so highly unlikely to occur mores the pity
  11. You wouldn’t reverse a penalty. You could have easily penalised Connor for interfering with the PTB as the first offence.
  12. The first post to accurately describe what happened. The referee probably thought it was a 6 of one and a half dozen of the other type of incident.
