  1. The C Cup rounds are all pay games. With everyone attending having to pay and no concessions for season ticket holders this aspect does need to be considered. Perhaps one way around that is to play each round of the C Cup on the first weekend of the month. Most people (not everyone) are paid at the end of the month so why not play the games within days of pay day? Equally so on the day the C Cup matches are concluded the draw is made for the following round. So fans would know their opponents and be able financially to buy their tickets for the next round. The debate does appear to be led by journal and RL people who don't pay to watch so they don't seem to appreciate the financial realities of taking and paying for two, three or more people to a game.
  2. If there will have been four coaches sacked in six seasons then the problem isn't with the coaches but the person/people who appoints them. To compete at the top it is obvious that quite a few of the Leeds players aren't good enough. It also seems that the coaches are not good enough so obviously their appointments are the problem more than the individuals themselves.
  3. Leeds could possibly lose this but I don't reckon they will. Hull are not very good, Leeds by 20.
  4. Not going to Hull FC. Can't see him going Leeds either. Rowley's an experienced coach and he would never put up with Hetherington telling him who's going to be sold/released and who will be bought. A coach of Rowley's calibre wants to sign and sack the players he decides upon, not the CEO or whatever title GH has given himself. There could well be better clubs with first team coaching vacancies soon which he could quite fancy.
  5. Warrington looked good v Saints and deserved their win. Saints though had a couple of tough games prior to playing Wire. They played Wigan on Good Friday and won after a gruelling 80 mins. The following week they went to Perpignan and had another very tough game with a narrow loss. They then played another huge match in a C Cup semi final. Just wondered if the three tough games the last 20 mins against Wire caught up with them where they were completely overrun.
  6. Saints have the intensity but not the pace. Warrington have the pace but not the intensity. Saints by 12.
  7. HKR at home are very difficult to beat. Don't think Leigh, with their depleted squad, have enough to win. Rovers by 18.
  8. Catalans were very impressive against Saints. Can't see Huddersfield matching that. Dragons by 14
  9. Wigan by a lot. Peet's named 21 looks powerful and Salford have signed Dudson on loan as they are short of props.
  10. Some good tries scored from both sides. Too much interference from the ref. If it wasn't pen then six agains! How many 6 agains did he give? Too many! Looked a tidy ground though.
  11. Initial reaction from me was that if a club can't afford to travel to Perpignan then they should relinquish their SL place. Difficult in the C Cup where a Championship or lower division club could be drawn away to Catalans but it's a RFL comp and they could surely sort that problem out. Getting Catalans to pay for opposition clubs's travel to fulfil their fixture seems just like the utterly stupid idea that only the RFL are capable of!
