I hope they put a lot of emphasis on junior development and increasing playing numbers. At the moment SL isn’t a great product on the pitch as there just aren’t enough quality players coming through the ranks and most clubs are just padding out with Championship level players or second grade NRL players

Any venue for a Magic Weekend should have a strategy to promote RL in that city such as schools coaching and tournaments and engaging all local community clubs etc. Newcastle, Liverpool (Everton), Cardiff, London, Paris, Marseille, Montpellier are good good venues for a Magic round but as stated above, needs to be used as a tool to promote RL

The people running the NRL are much more knowledgeable than me but NZ2 surely needs to be next. That is then 20 teams with a good spread across Australia, NZ and into PNG. This should result in even bigger tv viewing figures and junior playing numbers. Is a third team needed in Brisbane?

Lots of potential down in London. Hopefully the good work can continue until the RFL let them run a full academy
