  1. He wasn't told they are £10, that's the advertised price. There hasn't been anything published as yet about how to claim a ticket for one of the friendlies if you're a season ticket holder.
  2. It's a bank holiday today (27th), so I'd imagine the staff will be taking a well earned break. Here's a link to all pre season friendlies across all clubs, where confirmed to date. https://www.loverugbyleague.com/post/list-pre-season-friendlies-2022/
  3. https://dataworks.calderdale.gov.uk/wards-datasets/ I live in the Calder ward, making the Shay my nearest ground. HTH.
  4. Key question if we're comparing notes with Halifax, is what is it like now? I've not been to the Shay for a few years, despite being a Calderdale resident, but in the years I have been since my first visit in 2008, I've had no issues. That's not to say others haven't however.
  5. Good that you did report it. Whilst no action may have been taken in that particular instance, further complaints may be. If nothing is ever said, it's a certainty no action will be taken.
  6. Fev aren't the only ones, and it's not outsiders. It's those that won't learn that what they view as "banter" isn't seen the same as everyone else thinks. Doesn't matter what they or anyone else thinks, we keep getting picked up for it and as we're in the spotlight from previous misdemeanours, and we don't help ourselves by keeping doing the same thing. Like it or not, whether some fans view it as just banter or not, something needs to change or we'll keep having the same outcome. At some point, supporters other than me are going to think "enough is enough" and stop paying into squad builder, or buying season tickets that cover games we won't attend in order to pay fines, and that will hit the club. Keep doing this, and we really are just shooting ourselves in the foot. Sqeaky clean is the way forward, like it or not.
  7. Have you complained to anyone about it, other than on here?
  8. Moving forward, I'd suggest a new rule for safety car situations. Just implement the pit lane speed limiters, no pitstops allowed until racing recommences. Everyone holds station, job done.
  9. From memory (and there are no live cases currently under review to test my logic), hearing notes usually go on the disciplinary page fairly quickly after a hearing. Any subsequent appeal is usually added following the second hearing. I'll stand corrected if that's not the case.
  10. Anyone any idea why there is no reference to the case on the rfl disciplinary page (or any other page on the rfl site)?
  11. Does seem peculiar that it wasn't dealt with through the usual disciplinary timetable.
  12. Unfortunately I can't help you on that one, unless anyone at Cas RU could help. I've no affiliation, I only know he played there from Reading the Ponte & Cad back in the day. I don't think he's on social media and I've not seen him in person since probably 1995.
  13. It appears one of Newcastle's new signings hasn't managed to last long. https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/wakefield-trinity-thomas-minns-trial-22391994?utm_source=leeds_live_newsletter&utm_campaign=rugby_league_lve_newsletter&utm_medium=email&pure360.trackingid={~TrackingId~}
  14. The question is surely whether our squad is better on the pitch.
  15. Exactly, and that's precisely what I meant when I commented I appreciate why we change each year. Keep putting out exactly the same shirt & people will stop buying them.
  16. The last comment is a bit OTT, but broadly I'd agree with the comments on the main forum. It's OK, and I appreciate why we change each year, but it's not as good as a traditional butchers stripe. We've had worse, but we've also had much better imo.
  17. Electric went off here about 4am on Saturday and still isn't back on. I wholly appreciate given the time and scale of the issues caused across the North of England that Northern Powergrid will struggle to clear the backlog quickly, however their comms is terrible. I've had two messages so far: one at 6am on the day it went off to tell me then nothing for 48 hours until they sent another telling me their working on it. Use the online tool to track faults, and we don't show up, despite speaking them last night to discuss why at the time, we were one of only about 4 properties still without power in the area.
  18. No idea if it's the same lad, but I was at school with a lad called John Bramham, who was both a half decent laiker and a Fev fan. I seem to recall he'd previously been John Millington earlier in his life (nickname was Millo), so could have reverted back to that for whatever reason. He'd have been born in 76 or 77 if that helps. He also played at Cas RU for a number of years.
  19. If it is discrimination, wouldn't it be against season ticket holders of all Championship clubs, not just Fev?
  20. I thought he looked promising when he played for us, though realised he'd be unlikely to be a first team regular. I don't recall seeing anything from the club about him leaving mid-season, but he clearly went to his local amateur side (Sidddal) and now appears to be another Fax signing for 2022. Seeing they've today signed Alex Walker on trial, they're going to have a lot of cover at fullback.
  21. Not heard or seen anything, but agreed on importance.
  22. Went to Bradford City back in June. https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/19361059.royston-named-bradford-city-head-performance-medicine/
  23. Coaching appointments could also be key as to how teams go. Obviously we've a new man in charge and are presumably still looking for a no 2. Leigh yet to announce, and both York and Fax have announced new assistants. The impact of all of these changes could be critucal: look at our recent past to see how different things can be based on whoever is in charge.
