Sport England participation survey 2022-23
Griff replied to Dunbar's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
The success of the women's game is overblown. We've three or four decent squads and, not all that far down the ladder, we have Castleford dropping out of the Cheallenge Cup and Bradford conceding a game. There are undoubtedly some talented players but there's still a lot of work needed. -

Mmmm - that's what worries me about these appeals. The money disappears down a black hole. -
It was. I did. Turn off auto correct. It's rubbish. Do your own spelling.

I think we make our mark on (or about) 11 November. It's just that it's outside our season so we're inevitably restricted to whatever internationals are being played and the impact is perhaps less than it would be if the commemorations covered an entire league programme.

That was the Bay of Pigs thing, wasn't it?

You do that. It's OK for you to be abusive but you don't like it turned around.

Ah - you were calling me out for criticising your cunning plan, were you? I'll mark you down as a snowflake.

I'm not sure how we're going to fit in all our games in hand. -
We already play too many games. We bring in rules to restrict players' time on the field and then increase the number of league games we play. We don't need more games and especially not for the best players.

[sigh] No.

That would never happen in Rugby League. -
Poor old Harry.

Ep 21 is where Marty writes down a reg no RXD 997F. Jeff's car -by a huge coincidence - is RXD 996F.

Well, the underlying problem is that, for such a game to be successful you need to create two sides of roughly equal ability to which supporters will attach their allegiance. Sixty years (or more) ago, Yorkshire v Lancashire fitted the bill. Now, it doesn't.
-
Overall, the records are remarkably similar. Played 92, Yorkshire 45, Lancashire 44, Drawn 3.

Eastbound v Westbound carriageways.
