Rochdale Hornets found a route into it….their problem is finding a route out!

I hope you are right that you are wrong!

Before or after joining Titans?
-
So if you exclude tries against the doggies then Dom could catch him

Nothing that man couldnt do. A magician with the ball in hand or on foot.

Leeming got a try in his final Titans game yesterday. Think he was using the Titans stint as a shop window.

I was meaning Dave Browns tries…..but thats amazing that the Doggies kept Young scoreless twice
-
Were they all against the Bulldogs?

Agree…cant see the top 4 being too worried about theprospect of meeting the roosters…if they make it. -
Latest annual accounts now available on line. They dont paint a pretty picture but they cover the year ending 30 November 2022. They report an annual loss of 137k and that is when we won two play off games. They do not reflect our annus horribillis (2023) The only way is up…hopefully.

He was the difference…an ‘old head’ steering them round the park and keeping their feet on the ground. Broncos were trying to score on every tackle instead of building pressure. -
Just me? Google's preferred Super League ...
Anita Bath replied to gingerjon's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
It takes me to Betfred super league. You are probably right….i have never googled anything about womens footy. I once got in bother at work when in advance of a business trip to berne, switzerland i googled the local team, Young Boys of Berne! The hole just got bigger as I searched for directions to their stadium, the Wankdorf!! Ever since then I have received all sorts of trash on my google searches. -

last week of the season and only two ‘dead’ games (manly v wests, titans v bulldogs)…thats amazing. Also amazing that the schedule has those two at the two least favourable times for TV ratings, given that unlike AFL, dates and times are set at the start of the season. -
Yes but the opposition was a bit stronger. They did say worst, not largest. Either way, two days we would like to forget…but thanks for reminding us

I think its less to do with giving players a rest before play offs, more about avoiding the risk of injuries….Luais injury last week has got every coach worried about what could happen in a largely meaningless last game. Add to that the HIA protocol. Its not a good look I agree and perhaps could be partially mitigated by following the AFL and having a bye between the last week of regular season and the first week of play offs.

Too near the M62….you have to be as far as Penryn to be outside the deemed ‘corridor’.

I think the appropriate comparison is what happened to the Brisbane league once NRL expanded to incorporate a new Brisbane club…the Broncos. The Brisbane league sunk rapidly into a community level game with tiny crowds. The difference with the lower leagues in UK is the lower level teams in Queensland are funded through the leagues clubs.

Its a simple game which has tended to avoid tinkering with laws of the game too much and keeps the same structure. Fans get familiar with the divisions and cups and generally know whats going on. Rugby league changes laws and structures continually, often at short notice. I think there must be a standing item on the agenda of RFL meetings….what shall we change this week.
