  1. If I may summarise: Its not fair, we didn't get our own way.
  2. You need CELOX. Haemostats & Wound Dressings Quickly Clot Blood | Celox (celoxmedical.com)
  3. I wonder why some people use these terms: "PIN number" and "PAT testing"
  4. Was he working there selling ices and showing people to their seats?
  5. A van has just stopped outside our bungalow, stuck some signs on the van sides and driven off.

  7. Why dio people complain about caravans causing traffic jams when there is always a clear road in front of me when I'm towing?
  8. Ah, the archetypal reactionary old fool Grumpy Yorkshireman from a Labour family and himself very much a Labour man for most of his life.
  9. An anti-rant related to the previous two rants, it doesn't have to be that way. In September, I and two other bikers spent four nights at the Elephant and Castle in Newtown, Powys, mid-Wales. The staff -reception, waitresses, cleaners etc. mainly local young women in their early 20s, were unfailingly helpful, tolerant, happy and friendly.
  10. Building stadiums is an expensive business, you can’t just magic one out of a hat; if they stopped spending money on the team to do it they wouldn’t need a new stadium in league 1. I agree with you on that. I assume that some are criticising Wigan for not owning their own stadium so that the Warriors end up in League 1. I'm not a fan of old stadiums such as Wheldon Rd and I prefer the DW to Central Park any day, but it's a question of balance. I'd rather see a successful Cas (wash my mouth out with soap and water ) at their current location than a failing one in a state-of-the-art palace...as long as there is a plan in place.
  11. It might be that Wigan would be better spending money on getting more people into their existing stadium, though, rather than spending it on a new stadium.

  13. Its not just the NRL. Australian PM Scott Morrison may not attend COP26 as he has 'things to focus on' domestically (telegraph.co.uk)
  14. Hamilton breaks another record this weekend. Unquestionably the world's greatest, but even his reign has to come to an end sometime. Looks like that is starting to happen but he is not going to give up his crown willingly. He'll go down fighting Verstappen to the very end.
  15. Somehow, I don't think that Sale watchers are too concerned about access by public transport. https://www.salesharks.com/tickets-hospitality/travelling-to-the-aj-bell-stadium/

  17. I'm sure everyone on here would want to condemn John McEnroe when he wrote,"it appears it just got a little bit too much, as is understandable, particularly with what we've been talking about this over the last six weeks with Osaka not even here. How much can players handle."
  18. What Moron wrote for all too see was "...never seen a more brilliant illustration of mental strength & resilience than @EmmaRaducanu’s win. That’s what elite sport is all about – facing up to loss/adversity & going again .... As a fair and open-minded seeker of truth, I'm sure that you won't let your visceral hatred of Moron and what he stands for get in the way of endorsing those words. Back on topic, I fear that the media feeding frenzy, including allegations that China is laying claim to her, will end in tears. Any money, as soon as she has a dip in form, they'll be on her back, sadly. They need to lay off and giver her some space.
  19. Ha -bloody-ha. In my view he's an appalling person and why he merits any media exposure is beyond me. But if you want to have a go at him, at least base your opprobrium on facts. Try it.
