  1. I hope this does happen. All credit to Samoa, Tonga previously, and PNG who beat us (GB / England) pe-pandemic. They SHOULD have a regular Pacific cup tournament scheduled bi-annually perhaps - but, Ive yet to se RL capitalize on a World Cup after its completed, sadly.
  2. Hi guys, Im working in Bradford this Saturday, but thankfully have a gap to watch the match inbetween conferences. Anyone recommend where is 'best' to catch the game on TV? Thanks in advance
  3. Love the home shirt. Get what people are saying about the Hoover logo but, that's their logo. However, still better than last years imo. The away shirt .... Warrington....stick to Red and black, what the heck is this?!?!
  4. Great to see Saints have parted company with that cretinous, preying on the vunerable organisation 'cash converters' A good Sint's kit.
  5. For the next 5 to 10 years, id give each SL club 100% salary cap dispensation on any Welsh, Scottish, Irish born player who is in their regular match day squad, and brought through their development pathways. Play a regular mid season Home Nations + France tournament, call it what you will. NOT England Knights. And on Saturdays for TV exposure. SL Clubs to invest in the concept for the next decade until proper financial benefits can be paid to each club for the benefit of their players playing internationals. SL Clubs take a break during this period of 3 to 4 weeks for the mid season home nations plus France tournament. For France, 2 established SL teams - Catalans and Toulouse...and give each club a big salary cap incentive for French born players in their regular matchday squads for the next 5 - 10 years to encourage local development and regular playing in key positions. Limit their import quota, for marquee players. Yes, its uneven, but long term development it would perhaps be helpful. GB are end of season vs Southern hemisphere teams. With France involved.
  6. Besides all the 'how do we (France) increase playing standards' they need at least 3 - 5 international matches in the next 2 seasons (each season) for exposure alone to the French public to increase awareness. Surely we can't expect to rock up to the 2025 WC and expect people to come out in good numbers? They surely need a good sense of attachment to the national team.
  7. Absolute class design for me. A proper collar! Simple design. Englands kit would have been great in this design white with red v, or red with white v.
  8. Like this idea! Sure need something more than 'one' mid season international promise by IMG
  9. Just tried to do a search for Scotland Rugby League shirts for this World Cup - and cannot find diddly squat, nothing for sale. (Scottish colleague present idea) then thought I'd try Wales to see if similar.....same outcome. I get lead to Union shirts or concept shirts. Has there been zero publicity for the home nations re merchandise outside England's 'Scotland' lookalike shirt? Anyone like to share this years World Cup jerseys?

  11. Without the patterns....(which is right for Tonga0 pls take note RFL and England on future kit designs.
  12. PNG, Samo and Tonga for me, and obviously England. Really hoping England, and if not, one of these teams upsets the applecart with Oz and NZ. 2/3 years down the line since Tonga beat OZ, and PNG and Tonga beat GB
  13. Agree... nice shirt. Although my hope would be England are not sponsored by 'Cash Converters'
  14. Positives: 1. The 'fun with flags' theme has hopefully come to an end 2. Its a 'V' / 'Chevron' - albeit not my favourite design. A Chevron is RL. Negatives: 1. BLUE!!!!!!! I don't care whether Soccer use blue. We dont have strong brand identity as it is. White and Red is a must! 2. Looks like a Scotland away kit Its mainly about the blue for me
  15. In my opinion, ive stated this many times - Yorks V Lancs in RL would make us look more parochial.
  16. Ahem....the RFL seem to have thought so with the Papa Johns free pizza sponsorship
  17. I personally think Wayne Bennett did a great job, especially in the last world cup. The challenge for Shaun Wayne, even more so from Bennett, is that he has very little chance of assembling a squad together for competitive purposes, and, spending time 'in camp' with them to instill his ethos. Wayne also has no previous experience like Wayne of assembling an international squad as the head coach. That in itself in RL is challenging! Other sports do it (in terms of the grandparent rule) Shaun Wane is working under limited circumstances I would imagine
  18. Im still absolutely baffled with this choice of new club (from Eric Perez). Eric Perez's vision and 'why' motivation factor was to expand clubs in Canada and N America. Realising with the pandemic that's just too difficult in a transatlantic sense, how did he come up with Cornwall as a location? I hope it does well, genuinely.
  19. This is the BEST GB shirt for me. Simple V, prominant. No silly psychodelic shapes and triangles veering off everywhere. Background white, no coloured sleeves. Lions badge, iconic to RL.
