  1. He’d be showing much more of his talents if he got earlier ball. He’s got so much more to show. He’d kill it at full back, his favoured position.
  2. Just hope the Broncos aren't flogging him. He's had his knee strapped heavily for a few weeks now. He's not 100% fit, but still playing well.
  3. 48 first team appearances in the toughest Rugby League competition in the world. At what point does does Farnworth get past ‘very little experience’ ?
  4. Was travelling away with the Broncos at the time of the meeting. Issues with internet at the host hotel. Wane dropping him, just being the bully that he is. Throwing his weight around just because he can. Excellent man manager…….not.
  5. I don't think that he is just 'holding down a place'. Voted best back at Broncos last season. Good enough to have 5 NRL clubs chasing his signature as he is off contract at the end of the year. Queensland were after him at age group level as a youngster before they found out he was English.
  6. What is it with the Video Ref….??? Ref thinks it’s a try and I’m sure the VR does everything he can to rule one out…….
  7. Another loss to the dark side…. https://rosslynpark.co.uk/rosslyn-park-appoints-former-great-britain-rugby-league-international-danny-ward-to-its-coaching-team/?fbclid=IwAR1sidqs5OHOHeHex2Sqj8KYyHHIxzh062jFYefgSiiFuWK3yffqrshn_SM Posted here before it gets moved to cross code….

  9. Actually obtaining Australian citizenship is not that easy for professional athletes. As Quade Cooper found out. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-57804651.amp
  10. He's not emigrated, or adopted Australia as his country. He's a professional athlete playing in the best comp in the world. His parents are English living near Burnley. He's not an Australian citizen. He won't be playing for anyone other than England.
  11. He doesn't qualify for Australia and never will. He was approached as a kid to play for Queensland age grade. He didn't qualify then and he doesn't now. State of Origin eligibility rules state that a player must either be born in NSW or Queensland or reside there before their 13th birthday to represent their respective state.
  12. You're inferring that he's not a proper English man?? He's Burnley born and bred.
  13. Nope……a night out in St Helens beckons….they’re stopping over tonight. Was at the game today. They had a very good kicking game. Their Stand Off had a bit about him. A little bit of RL ‘nous’ would’ve made the game a bit closer. They stood up very well in the in the physical aspect of the game.
  14. Go you……. Looking forward to seeing you ripping it up in the NRL this season…
  15. I don’t think he’s got anything to prove to the RU mob. They’ve been after him since he was a kid. Being voted best back (Broncos award night) at an NRL side is not a bad accolade I would have thought. I agree that he’s not reached his potential yet. Plenty more to come. Would help if they didn’t keep playing him in different positions, left centre, right centre, wings….Trouble is, he can do a job wherever he plays and Broncos utilise him as such when they haven’t had a settled three quarters for the last few years. Would love to see him get a run in his favoured fullback role. He might get that if he jumped ship to the Dolphins.
  16. He could’ve signed for a union club by now. He’s been on the RU radar since his school days. He is RL through and through. His desire to make it in the NRL was evident from a very early age. That’s why he declined offers from SL clubs. He’s worked incredibly hard to follow his dream, making it through the Aussie system. Who knows what the future will bring? Personal circumstances change. All his family are still in England. If he does come back during his playing career, I doubt that it will be to an SL side. But, then again, his personal circumstances could see him remain in Australia.
  17. Grammar school boy. Ermysted’s Grammar school Skipton. Played there, but vast majority of his youth Rugby was at St.Pat’s and Newton Storm.
  18. England RU have been after him for years, since he was a kid.
  19. It could’ve been done…. This is an extract from the programme, Chorley Magpies v South Wales, July 1996. Div 2. It looks like the application for SL was successful. Passed by the RFL and endorsed by Maurice Lindsay. What went wrong? Another missed opportunity??
  20. Looks like CornwallRL has got a problem with accents and languages around the UK……. Proper Queen’s English required down his way….
  21. Yes, I know. It’s a shame and a bit ignorant of CornwallRL to try to mock him by his pathetic ’yakki daa’ quote.
