  1. Can you explain this. Do you despise AFC Wimbledon because they regrouped as a fan owned club and worked their way up from the amateur leagues to building their own ground. Or do you despise the club that upsticks and moved to Milton Keynes as the MK Dons ? Maybe you have a reason to despise a club that refused to die......please explain.
  2. So replying as one of the muppets you referred to... The quote from Johnny Johnson was that the clasp to be attached to the ‘39 to ‘45 Star will remain in his box until Bomber Command Veterans are awarded a campaign medal. I don’t know what quotes you are referring to? Maybe the Peace Pledge Union rep, certainly not the Dambuster. As a descendant of RAF personnel who served in WW2, I am extremely proud of their service. Without the destruction of the dams, Nazi war effort would not have been disrupted, the war would have been prolonged, mass murder extended and many more Allied service men and women along with more innocent civilians would have died. You will probably be comfortable with that, just so long as you can point the finger at brave young men for committing a ‘war crime’. Sums up this woke culture that we find ourselves in.
  3. Can somebody remind me when the decision on the successful applicant is being made.

  5. Barry is on form tonight.... Can somebody explain what a smart intellectual investment in defence means.... Just asking
  6. Two major finals in successive seasons is ‘underachieving’ ???
  7. What capacity was Branson involved in the NRL? Fulham became London Crusaders then Broncos when Brisbane got involved. Three years before Virgin took over.
  8. Half time now, so I'll address your post. Meast was having a bit of a giggle re the 'armchair selectors' who kick off when Grace is not picked for England. You stated that 'they'd be right' saying he was in the top 2 wingers in SL. Therefore, agreeing with said selectors that he should be selected (For England). I'm off to the fridge now
  9. You were on about Grace not being picked for England. I was pointing out the fact that he's Welsh.... I'm not bothered about who plays for England.
  10. Austin qualifies to play for England. Grace does not.. Port Talbot born and bred.
  11. Which year was that....?? Every year is Warrington’s year and I’ve only gone and missed it...
  12. I think South Wales RLFC would have been a totally different animal to Crusaders. With Mike Nicholas and Clive Griffiths involved and the timing of the proposed entry to SL, off the back of the 1995 Welsh World Cup squad performing well. I think RL would really have taken off at the time. Welsh RU was not in a good place at the time also.
  13. I think Samuels was involved with The Celtic Warriors RU team. They were cut by the WRU so Samuels turned his attention to RL.
  14. Herbie called up by Shaun Wane... https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/shaun-wane-england-squad-latest-4439552
  15. What I don’t get is that if it was approved by the RFL Council, why didn’t it happen ?
  16. This is an extract from the programme, Chorley Magpies v South Wales, July 1996. Div 2. It looks like the application for SL was successful. Passed by the RFL and endorsed by Maurice Lindsay. What went wrong? Another missed opportunity??
