Graham
A second New Zealand team in the NRL would be known as the South Pacific Cyclones and play up to half their home matches in Fiji. The consortium backing a Wellington-based team to join the NRL in 2018 has revealed further details of its bid, including the official name of the club and its plans to expand across the Pacific with the inclusion of Fiji Any real chance? With the NRL rudderless at the moment and so many floated ideas and potential new clubs always there and thereabouts is this just another group throwing a pebble in the pond to see if they can get a ripple? DeadShotKeen
Possibly but it sounds brilliant. Hope it comes off for the next TV deal.
kiwis 13 6
getting a bit ridiculous wellington bid is now merging with fiji as if fiji & wellington are next door neighbours!!! Plus the name cyclones is bit stupid when the wellington super rugby side is called the hurricanes. Stick to Wellington Orcas based in NZ thanks.
