Mr Plow
What’s been the best season of Super League? I think this seasons been pretty good for competitiveness (bar St Helens running away at the top)
Dunbar
If we are allowed to take it beyond Super League, I would vote for 1984-85. Hull Kingston Rovers were champions aided by the signing of the great Gavin Miller. Wigan beat Hull in probably the best Challenge Cup final of all time with Peter Sterling and Brett Kenny opposite each other. St. Helens beat Hull Kingston Rovers in the Premiership with the Harry Sunderland Trophy going to the mercurial Harry Pinner. Mal Meninga inspired St Helens to a win over Wigan in the Lancashire Cup final at Central Park. Last but not least, the 1985 Man of Steel, Ellery Hanley became the first man to score more than 50 tries in a season since Billy Boston. "The history of the world is the history of the triumph of the heartless over the mindless." — Sir Humphrey Appleby. If someone doesn't value logic, what logical argument could you provide to show the importance of logic?" — Sam Harris
Chris22
My favourite Super League season was 2000. The St Helens, Wigan and Bradford sides of that year were all incredible.
