gazza77
I've been with Halifax for numerous years, however they're about to end their monthly fixed interest payments, so it's time for a change. Who would people recommend? I'm looking for an account that pays at least some element of interest and doesn't have account charges simply for banking with them. I'm currently looking at TSB and Nationwide; any others to consider? ckn
I use a basic Co-op bank account. Does everything I need and is completely free. Had zero issues with them since I started banking with them. Bank interest? What's that? "When in deadly danger, when beset by doubt; run in little circles, wave your arms and shout"

Limited balance, but better than a kick in the unmentionables. I use Marcus for my tax savings account, not great rates but it's still better than nothing, and still a real-terms loss compared to inflation. Griff9of13
Try having a look at https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/ there is a bank account tool on there where you can enter your requirements more precisely than on here and it will show you the best fit for your criteria.
